Can Uetam — Restaurant in Valldemossa

The location, view, and ambience of the restaurant are excellent. However, there were some major problems with the food/experience there which unfortunately make it impossible to recommend and were super disappointing.

-there is an item on the menu called “can uteum burger” which states that it has pulled pork on it. Any reasonable individual would interpret this as being a burger patty with pulled pork also added on top. THERE WAS NO BURGER AT ALL, IT WAS JUST A PULLED PORK SANDWICH. A pulled pork sandwich IS NOT a burger. There is nothing about this item that can meet the definition of a burger. Incredibly disappointing.

-we ordered the gato cake with almond ice cream for dessert. It was not a fresh item, the cake was dry and clearly taken out of a box and the ice cream was clearly scooped out of a container. Totally unacceptable for a “nice” restaurant

-my wife ordered steak. Good flavor but super chewy and tough. I don’t think it’s the chefs fault, just seemed that the meat was not high quality.

-the waiter refused to split our partie’s check. Pretty easy to split a check two ways and quite standard these days.

Overall, I’d highly recommend eating elsewhere if you’re visiting, I wish I had. Don’t let the...

Great food, great location. AWFULL service.

We called in advance to ask if this place was wheelchair accessible and they said YES. Well the only path to the restaurant was a 100 meter long rocky slope with multiple steps. Impossible for any wheelchair. So after our 45m drive to this restaurant we had to find another place...

Somewhere the next few days we were in town again and decided to give it another try for lunch, this time without the other wheelchair bound guest.

It took 30m to get the first drinks. And only after we asked the waiter about them. Then when the waiter came he brought the wrong drinks (no not a complicated order, 2 sprite and 1 cola....) it took another 5 minutes to get the correct drink.... besides all that, 1 sprite didnt even have any bubbles and was just flat.

The hamburger altough expensive at 22 euro was tasty, and the rest of the food was also good. But the entire time we didnt get any other drinks offered, and when we made the request for some ketchup it never arrived.

All in all this place could be a great spot, but not with this terrible level of service. If you're gonna ask these high end prices you cannot get away with this 1/5...

We were looking for breakfast in Valldemossa. We went for breakfast and we stayed all day in this hidden place. The service, the food and the views are spectacular. We were attend by a nice little guy which offered us to just walk in and have a look and take a photo, a coffee or a coctail. We ordered first two Cappuccinos, then we shared a tasty Coca de Valldemossa filled with Nutella, which the waitress recommend to share... DELICIOUS!!!!! Then after we relaxed with the music and the views, we ordered a Hugo and a Aperol Spritz, Mallorca is changing.... After this, we ask for the Menú, and they recommend us or the Tapas Assortment ( which includes tipical local tapas) with Frito ( lamb lever, strong taste...but delicious), Pica Pica (seafood) and Albondigas ( meatballs). The service offered us then to share or a Cod, which we accepted and the eggs, Can uetam eggs ( 4 different options) with pulled pork, called Porcella, which means Majorcan Pork. Everything so tasty that we stayed till the closing, with another drinks and nice views and service. Hope to come...
