Cappuccino: A Quaint Haven in Valldemosa
Nestled amidst the charming streets of Valldemosa, the aptly named "Cappuccino" is a hidden gem that beckons coffee connoisseurs and travelers alike. While the cafe is petite in size, its warmth and allure are boundless. During my recent visit, I was struck by two standout features: the impeccable waiting staff and the delightful streetside setting.
The first thing that struck me as I entered Cappuccino was the warm welcome from the waiting staff. Their genuine smiles and attentive service set the tone for a memorable experience. They exuded a passion for their craft that translated into an extensive knowledge of the coffee offerings. Each barista was more than willing to discuss the origins and nuances of the various beans, which made selecting a brew an enjoyable and educational process. This level of enthusiasm and expertise truly elevated the coffee-drinking experience.
Cappuccino's streetside setting was another highlight that left a lasting impression. The cafe's outdoor seating spills onto the cobblestone streets of Valldemosa, offering a front-row seat to the town's timeless charm. I found myself sipping my cappuccino while basking in the gentle Mediterranean breeze, enveloped by the picturesque surroundings. It's an ideal spot for people-watching and immersing oneself in the local ambiance.
The coffee itself at Cappuccino was nothing short of exceptional. The blend used for their cappuccinos struck a perfect balance between rich, bold flavors and a creamy, frothy texture. It was evident that they took great care in sourcing their beans, resulting in a cup of coffee that was a true indulgence for the palate. They also offered a selection of pastries and light bites that complemented the coffee perfectly.
While Cappuccino shines in many aspects, it's worth noting that due to its small size, the cafe can get quite crowded during peak hours. This might lead to longer waiting times, but the attentive staff ensures that your needs are met even during busier moments.
In conclusion, Cappuccino in Valldemosa is a delightful coffee haven that captures the essence of this charming Spanish town. The impeccable waiting staff, with their knowledge and passion for coffee, enhance the overall experience. The streetside setting provides an idyllic backdrop for savoring exceptional coffee and soaking in the local atmosphere. If you find yourself in Valldemosa, don't miss the opportunity to visit Cappuccino; it's a coffee shop that embodies the spirit of this enchanting...
Read moreSo, from the outset, you know this place is going to be expensive. Even from a distance, the staff are like becons of the brand, standing out from the crowds in thier crisp uniforms: we are Cappucino and (like a certain famous beer ad) we are reassuringly expensive.
The brand experience is certainly maintained (almost ...) by all the staff, with thier pristine uniforms and similarly 'washed & pressed' service! Very polite and attentive.
Indeed, the Cappucino website boasts the following: "All of us who work at Cappuccino should be able to explain what's behind it, to define the experience in a single sentence. In the end that's what's important, what we're all here for, what our customers are here for."
So I was a little dissappointed when I asked about the photo on the menus (of all Cappucino staff photogenically captured on the steps of majorcan orchard wall collecting organges) and her reply was "I don't know anything about this." But maybe she just misunderstood me (I confess i have no Spanish language skills).
The food took a while to come but when it did it looked really freshly prepared and nicely presented.
I had a huge plate of pasta - delicious - and my wife enjoyed an interesting salad, tho' one of the main ingredients was supposed to be feta but there was too little of it in the final dish. (Often the way sadly, unless you're in Greece!)
It was expensive of course, but we knew that would be the...
Read moreRaw chicken served to my pregnant wife!! We are long time and frequent customers of Cappuccino’s restaurants and this was a horrible experience. When we cut into the chicken in our Tikka Masala the chicken was red raw, bleeding and totally undercooked. With a pregnancy this is a dangerous risk for salmonella amongst other pathogens. Which she had already been eating it and didn’t notice before as it’s covered in sauce. We cut into it upon it noticing it being exceptionally chewy. Gross and Disgusting experience. We alerted the waiter who took it away and asked if we wanted anything else. Upon asking for the bill the only compensation was to take off the cost of the Raw chicken. The manager Manuel Eduardo never came over to apologize or explain the situation. When we asked the waiter if they were going to compensate for this dangerous situation the waiter offered to take off the children’s portion of French fries for our 1 1/2 year old son.
Absolutely and outrageously poor customer service from the management and unhealthy and potentially dangerous food from the kitchen.
No apology from the manager, no compensation. Nada....
Praying we don’t get sick..
They have lost loyal customers who have spent 1000’s of euros at their restaurants.
Shame Shame Shame.
P.S the food server named Ruben was very nice and professional, a value to...
