Sa Foganya — Restaurant in Valldemossa

Great traditional place that's unpretentious and serve great food at great prices. The service was good and our little one was well looked after. We had the tapas dish with a few dishes we recognised and few we didn't but loved like the pork dish with peas and peppers (tasted like liver but not sure it was) and another that tasted like some kind of chopped up prawns with onions and peppers. We also had the more recognisable spanish omlette, and spanish meatballs. Our daughter had the spaghetti bolognese which was a generous portion and good tasting. We ended our meal with the local poatao cake and a glass of the horchata of almonds and coffee. Our daughter had an excellent ice cream. Service was very efficient, friendly and helpful. The outside seating are nice and in on the main walkway. The inside is uninspiring but we sat in because of the air conditioning and had no issues. Wir wollten hier eine Kleinigkeit essen und trinken. Wir wollten zu zweit eine Flasche Wasser teilen. Der Kellner meinte, dass diese zu klein pro Person wären, also haben wir zwei Flaschen bestellt und bekam je eine 500ml Flasche Wasser. 🙄 Dann fragten wir nach der Menükarte. Angeblich hat der Laden so etwas nicht, warum auch immer, also fragten wir was wir denn bestellen könnten. "Tapas" war die Antwort. Also wollten wir eine Portion bestellen. Wieder meinte er, dass jede Portion für nur einer Person reichen würde. Also kamen zwei Teller Tapas. Vielleicht ist es meiner Unwissenheit geschuldet, aber ich kenne Tapas als viele kleine Schälchen, die mit Meeresfrüchten oder Kartoffeln oder eingelegtem Grmüse usw. gefüllt sind. Ich möchte vorab sagen, dass ich alles esse. Lamm, Schwein, Rind, Fisch, Meeresfrüchte.. Das, was uns als Tapas angeboten wurde, steht bei mir kulinarisch ganz weit oben auf der Schwarzen Liste. Alles undefinierbar und breiig, Fleisch schlechte Qualität, sah alles nach Übgriggebliebenem aus als nach leckerem Tapas. Nicht mal die Kartoffeln haben geschmeckt. Es hat alles eher gestunken. Noch nie hab ich Essen zurückgehen...

Ohhh yes i loved my visit hete. The staff were very charming and fast table service. I ordered some tapas and house wine and i have to say it was amazing. I totally enjoyed the food and was very reasonable priced. You can see what i had to eat in the photos. It was noce to sit outside and watch the people go by in beautiful Valldemosa. Would highly recommend...
