A Heartwarming Experience at Can Reüll

I stumbled upon Can Reüll by chance around 4:40 PM, as it was the only spot open at that time. I ordered a club sandwich from the limited menu, but, unfortunately, it wasn’t to my liking. Already having a tough day, I decided to shrug it off, clean the mayo off my fingers, and ask for the check.

Noticing that I hadn’t enjoyed the meal, the waiter kindly inquired if something was wrong. I was honest, explaining that the dish wasn’t for me but that I was happy to pay. To my surprise, he was incredibly understanding and insisted I didn’t need to pay since I hadn’t consumed the food. I was touched by this simple act of kindness as I left the restaurant.

Halfway back to my hotel, I realized something devastating—my gold ring, a precious family heirloom, was missing. Panic set in as I searched everywhere with no luck. It dawned on me that it might have slipped off when I was cleaning my hands after the sandwich.

I called the restaurant in a frenzy and explained the situation. The staff were immediately empathetic and promised to start looking for it. I couldn’t imagine them stopping their work to dig through trash for a stranger’s lost ring, but they assured me they would try.

To my utter disbelief, as I was making my way back to the restaurant to search myself, I received a call from one of the staff members—they had found my ring!

I was so emotional and relieved that, in my frenzy, I didn’t think to ask for the manager or the waiter’s name. To the entire team at Can Reüll, your honesty and determination have left me truly speechless. Despite my insistence to tip everyone, they graciously refused, simply saying “thank you.”

This gesture speaks volumes about the integrity and kindness of the team at Can Reüll. Though I didn’t have the opportunity to fully enjoy their menu this time, their remarkable actions have left a lasting impression. I hope to return to Valldemossa soon and properly dine at this wonderful establishment.

Upon arrival, we were initially informed that reservations were required. However, after a polite request, the staff kindly accommodated us with indoor seating, which we appreciated. The hospitality was courteous and professional throughout, setting a positive tone despite the rocky start.

The meal began with a selection of appetizers. We tried the nachos with beef, topped with avocado sauce, sour cream, and diced onions. The presentation was decent, but the flavors didn’t quite come together in a standout way. The patatas bravas, a classic Spanish tapa, were underwhelming—lacking the crisp texture and bold seasoning typically expected from this dish.
