Acqua Bar & Steakhouse in Jávea offers a dining experience that combines stunning coastal views with a relaxed atmosphere. Nestled along El Arenal Beach, the restaurant's prime location makes it an inviting spot to enjoy a meal while taking in the breathtaking scenery.
During my visit, I tried the double burger. It was decent, with satisfactory flavours and cooked adequately. While it felt slightly overpriced, it's important to remember that you're also paying for the fantastic ambience and views, which add significant value to the experience. The setting makes it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy a meal with friends or family.
The service at Acqua Bar & Steakhouse was generally polite, though there were moments when it could have been more attentive. However, the staff's friendliness contributed positively to the overall experience. Despite minor inconsistencies, the pleasant atmosphere and beautiful surroundings make up for these small shortcomings.
Overall, I would consider returning to Acqua Bar & Steakhouse, primarily for its stunning views and inviting ambience. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy the coastal beauty of Jávea. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit for a casual dining experience that pairs well with its...
Read moreVisited on 01/08/2023 - For mains, our order was completely messed up. We ordered hake, but were given cod. We told the waitress twice that the order was incorrect, and that this was obvious as the garnishes were different between the two dishes. She checked with the kitchen and told us that ‘the hake garnish is now served the same as the cod’ and tried to convince us once again that the cod was in fact hake! I am not sure why the waitress and the kitchen staff felt the need to lie rather than give us the dish we actually ordered. We decided to cut our losses and eat the cod, however there was a 20 minute wait until the rest of the food arrived. This meant that one diner ate alone and then had to watch everyone else eat. Upon complaining to a waiter his response was ‘it is not the waiters fault, it is the kitchens fault they have a lot of orders’. Are we expected to complain directly to the kitchen? The food overall was poor, with burnt bread, a dry burger and cod full of bones. I would recommend that this restaurant train their staff on the dishes they sell, and if the cooks can’t handle the heat they should get out of the kitchen. Note: our first round of drinks was deducted from the bill but this hardly makes up for a...
Read moreWe visited Acqua recently in the evening for dinner. Unfortunately despite an 4.4 star rating on Google the experience was far from that level. Granted the view is stunning and we watched the sunset over dinner. However the service was some of the poorest service I have received something which we also witnessed with other diners regardless of nationality.
The staff were generally dismissive and uninterested not once checking if our meals were ok or if we wanted more drinks. In fact it was almost like they were there under duress!! The meals themselves were flavorsome when they arrived but they were simply deposited on the table in front of us with no interest or interaction from the servers (we were served by more than one).
We ordered a couple of desserts and when the churros we ordered finally arrived the chocolate sauce was, in the words of our friend who is a fantastic baker...."nasty"
I appreciate that we speak very little Spanish and it was obvious that English was not a language spoken well by the staff members who served us BUT in no way does that excuse the lack of service we received.
We won't be back and to be honest I don't think the staff would be bothered...
