Finnegans in the Port — Restaurant in Yaiza

Not that we waited almost 40 minutes for the food, but when the food came my food order unfortunately was wrong. I mentioned it to the waiter upon receiving that i ordered cheese chips while I was given them with bacon. Upon receiving the bill I expected the chips to be written off seeing as i did not eat them as its not what i ordered the waiter tried to argue with me what i ordered but from a logical point of view if thats what id ordered surely id eat it and not point out that the order was wrong when it came, another waiter then came out to me with with a very rude attitude including a raised tone explaining and talking to me about wait times for while the food took so long bare in mind in the last 20 minutes of 40 they handed out about 4 ciabatta sandwiches so its not as if they were in and out of that kitchen every 2 mins there are places much smaller and way more busy who are capable of providing top quality service. These two waiters had 0 customer service skills when it comes to dealing in tough situations i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone to the lady that tried to shout me over while i tried to simply explain to you that my issue was with the food being wrong and you trying to charge me for it, you got some serious attitude to speak to your...

Excellent, make sure to visit! We stayed in Puerto Del Carmen but would stay in Puerto Calero for future holidays, beautiful location and a lot quieter. Finnegan’s was just great, food was superb as was the Guinness. The staff were super nice and very helpful, big shout out to Danny our waiter who was a gem! Made the kids feel welcome and very relaxed. After we left the restaurant we could not find a taxi (Lanzarote does not have enough taxis!) we were waiting in the heat for over 40mins and no sign of a cab. Danny recognised us and gave us a drive back to our apartments on his way home after he finished work, a life saver going over and beyond! I hope his employer knows how good Danny is….One of life’s nice guys, thank you Danny and we will be back to see you in the future. Would highly recommend Finnegan’s. I believe they may be attempting to scam. Had cocktails here, €6.95, decent price for cocktails although they were clearly poured out of a can. Waiter mixed up orders twice, I am not blaming her but I do think management should encourage staff to take orders using pen &paper and not try to memorise. However, my biggest issue was the 7% service charge, which somehow the technology couldn’t calculate correctly. Clearly they have a ‘glitch’ there on purpose, returned the €2 I was overcharged.
