Buda bar — Restaurant in Yaiza

This is my experience at Buda Bar and it is written without prejudice.

My partner and I had an hour to kill whilst waiting for a reservation at a local restaurant.

We both ordered a non alcoholic cocktail from the waitress. I had a mango mojito my partner ordered a Tropical cocktail.

The tropical cocktail had a piece of pink plastic in it that was almost ingested through the straw by my partner.

We advised the waitress who looked at the foreign object shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know" before walking away.

Not being really satisfied with the dismissive attitude and lack of apology we settled the bill and went inside to escalate the matter further.

The operavites inside dismissed us by throwing the object straight into the bin and saying " we didn't put it in there" and that this material is not present in the preparation area. Even thought the straw in the drink was made of pink plastic that was identical to the object found in the Tropical drink. Also the preparation area was very poorly lit and the operative had to move under the light to inspect the object. There are also Pink plastic trinkets and decorations used in their drinks.

Like a stubborn children they still denied that they put the plastic there.

The lack of apology and extremely rude attitude displayed by the staff was appalling and not what we expected. An apology would have dissuaded me from writing a negative review. We were not offered a refund or replacement ( a replacement would have been declined). Ingesting plastic of any size or description is very bad for your health.

Using plastic straws is a very poor choice environmentally and as they are in the middle of the ocean it is perhaps a good idea to find an alternative.

The staff were a miserable bunch and Thier lack of care could have been dangerous. This is the worst service I have ever received anywhere on the...

My favorite place on the whole of Lanzarote!

VERY friendly staff.

Fantastic decor (ultraviolet lights!).

And (most of all) great drinks (cocktails and mocktails.)

Staff: Welcome you in with a smile which glows through the bar. So nice to be around with quick service.

Decor: Buddhas, lights and a cool bar make the atmosphere electric. The music sets the mood with chill Ibiza type beats.

Drinks: I, myself, normally have the 'San Francisco' mocktail. A fruity light non alcoholic drink. Don't worry though. They have all the classic cocktails and mojitos too with some of their own unique drinks.

Overall: My favorite place on the whole of Lanzarote! (And definitely the best bar...

Nice bar. Friendly staff. Good vibe.

Spoiled tonight as they allowed a feral group of loud mouths to use foul language throughout the time we were there.

Others also commented on their toleration of this mob.

Puerto Calero isn’t the type of place for these ‘customers’. Please in future Buda tell these sorts they’re not welcome as it’ll cost you money in...
