This place gave a great meal for a great price. We both loved it.
From the mixed reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect. We only wanted a snack so didn’t want to spend a lot.
We both threw caution to the wind and went for the menu del dia. First came the warm bread rolls with three mojo all of which were delicious. Shamefully we almost cleaned the bowls. Then came the starter of squid rice. It was big enough to be the main course, full of a variety of fish, every mouthful had at least one piece of fish. It was delicious.
The highlight was the main course, grilled white fish which was crispy and flavoursome on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside. Neither one of us had a single bone. Simply delicious!
Desert was a creme caramel that hit the spot. It was just right and not too sweet.
Let’s not forget where we sat, overlooking the marina, watching boats come and go, as the sun set to our right.
All this, together with two large beers for €20 plus tax. Considering that we paid €7 for two beers in Playa Blanca the day before this represents incredible value but with great tasting food as well.
Considering all of the above, and experiences elsewhere on the island, this...
Read moreOrdered a salmon dish, spaghetti bolognese and steak (very rare). We waited 30 minutes for the food even though it was quiet in the restaurant. The salmon looked like it was a week old, dried and wrinkly, the bolognese was swimming in water and the steak was very well done and almost impossible to cut. I sent it back and was offered a chicken and prawn kebab in its place (ungraciously) it duly arrived and again was overcooked and tasteless. When the waiter eventually enquired I explained it was dry and he sneered at me. We then ordered the bill and the 15EUR chicken was included. When we suggested a discount the waiter started being incredibly rude - I'm not really a picky eater but dont agree with paying for food that wasn't eaten. Certainly not somewhere I would recommend or...
Read moreWe came here on our first evening on the island and had great fish here. Also some of the tapas were good and tasty. BUT … today we came here again (usually we try different restaurants as much as possible, but the one we chose was already fully booked).
El tomato was around the corner so we came here again. This time i ordered a filet steake. The cook probably placed the meat on the same grill as the fish. My whole filet steak (which was everything but tender btw) tasted like a grilled dorada. Also i ordered some drinks,.. 3 times reminders until they arrived.
Sorry but no! They tried to be very nice (the waitress tried to talk german to us) but they don’t understand the simple 1x1...
