Azure Restaurant — Restaurant in Yaiza

This place holds a special spot as it’s my boyfriend’s second favourite restaurant along the Marina so we decided to have dinner there one evening. The evening turned out to be really lovely, and I was quite impressed by the extensive menu they offered.

The restaurant was buzzing with people, which gave us a chance to see a variety of dishes being served. Despite being very busy, the service was fantastic. The staff were highly attentive and recognised my boyfriend, which made the evening even more pleasant. With so many choices on the menu, I found it a bit difficult to decide on what to eat. In the end, I made a last-minute decision to go for the Thai green curry, one of their specials, instead of the lamb shoulder, as I felt the chicken would be a lighter option.

I started with the prawn cocktail, which was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend, on the other hand, ordered the grilled chicken in lime tequila, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had a taste, and it was indeed very tasty. Although the portions were generous, we were far too full for dessert. The prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was really nice. It was a relaxed and chilled evening, with no rush to finish our meal, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful view overlooking the marina and do a bit of people-watching.

My boyfriend ordered sangria, adding to the pleasant experience. Overall, it was a lovely evening, and I am sure we will be going back as there are a couple of other dishes I’d like...

Mala experiencia. Falta de higiene y atención al cliente.

Pedimos una bebida que llegó en un vaso con restos visibles de suciedad y una sustancia pegajosa adherida al cristal. Pedí amablemente que lo cambiaran, pero en lugar de traer un vaso limpio, la camarera vació el contenido del vaso sucio en otro y lo sirvió de nuevo, sin limpiar nada. Una práctica inaceptable en cualquier establecimiento.

Al terminar la bebida, comprobé que la sustancia seguía presente. No se tuvo en cuenta mi petición ni hubo intención de corregir el problema adecuadamente.

Además, al pedir un plato para compartir, solo trajeron uno para servir, sin poner otro adicional, algo básico en hostelería.

La comida estaba buena, pero la falta de higiene en la vajilla y la actitud indiferente del personal hacen que no recomiende este lugar. Hay opciones mucho mejores en la misma zona donde se cuidan los mínimos estándares de limpieza y servicio.

Poor experience. Lack of hygiene and customer care.

We ordered a drink that was served in a glass with visible dirt and a sticky substance attached to the inside. I politely asked for it to be changed, but instead of bringing a clean glass, the waitress simply poured the contents of the dirty glass into another one and served it back—without cleaning anything. This is unacceptable in any establishment.

When I finished the drink, I confirmed the sticky residue was still there. My request was ignored, and there was no effort to resolve the issue properly.

Additionally, when we ordered a dish to share, only one plate was brought, with no additional one for serving—something very basic in any restaurant.

The food was good, but the lack of cleanliness in the tableware and the staff’s indifferent attitude make this place impossible to recommend. There are much better options in the area where basic hygiene and service standards...

We went to Azure for lunch, on our way from the airport to Playa Blanca, as we had some time before our villa was accessible on arrival day. We arrived whilst breakfast was still being served so just ordered drinks initially. The service was relaxed with no feeling of being rushed. After our drinks we ordered lunch - the Azure burger is always well cooked and tasty, this time I added bacon as well.
