RESTAURANTE BRISA DEL MAR — Restaurant in Yaiza

Did the usual holiday thing looking for menus that suited everyone. This place looked okay and was busy. To get a table for three we had to sit inside which turned out to be fine although we normally want to be outside. Table by a large window which was open so we had a nice elevated view and it was cool enough.

Between us we had a classic burger, a chicken with mushroom sauce and a filet mignon. Food was excellent and plentiful. I had asked for the filet steak and the waiter suggested the mignon for a couple of euros extra. Two very nice sized chunks if steak cooked to melt in the mouth. My preference is medium to well done. I'd say one piece was spot on and the second perhaps a little less "well" and more "medium" just a bit redder in the middle. Not an issue for me, I err on the safe side as sometimes I find medium is actually rare.

We all were delighted with our meal and pleasantly surprised by how reasonable it was.

A complimentary glass of honey rum came with the bill.

I would definitely choose to eat here again...

So I'm giving this a 2 star as my mum and her friends food was fine (salad). We had paella and and it was very dry and unpleasant. Let's just say too there was an unwelcome visitor at our table that was creeping around the table mat! Once I saw it, I couldn't eat the food. We were informed that this intruder was due to the heat, and they are all over in Lanzarote. Sorry, while I know there are pests you need to control this! We returned to our hotel to eat and my Paella was great on the all inclusive. We won't...
