We were initially enticed by the enthusiastic front-of-house staff and the large, modern electronic menu displayed outside. Unfortunately, that was the high point of our visit—everything went downhill rapidly from there.
After being quickly ushered to a table, we were left completely unattended. Two waiters stood barely a meter away from us, yet didn’t acknowledge our presence for over five minutes. I eventually had to interrupt them to ask for menus. If I hadn’t done so, I honestly have no idea how long we would’ve been ignored.
Once the menus were placed on our table, we were immediately asked—quite bluntly—what we wanted to drink, without having had a chance to even open the menu. The drink section wasn’t clearly marked, and despite our confusion, no assistance was offered. In fact, the waiter turned his back and began muttering to his colleague, who had also shown no interest in serving us.
We placed a drink order more by guessing than by choice and were met with cold, emotionless stares. I’m generally a very patient and understanding customer—especially in busy, tourist-heavy areas where language barriers can create challenges. I always try to be respectful and mindful of that. But this was something different entirely: not just inattentive, but overtly unwelcoming and borderline hostile.
It felt as though we were not just forgotten but deliberately ignored and made to feel uncomfortable. We drank up, paid, and left without ordering food—I simply wasn’t willing to give any more of my money to an establishment that treats its guests so poorly.
DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT – the poor customer service was evident within minutes of sitting down. I can’t comment on the food, but there are many other restaurants along the seafront just a few minutes away that will actually make you feel welcome, valued, and relaxed—everything this place failed to do.
Unless you’re a local or fluent in Spanish (which might make a difference, though I can’t say for sure), I strongly recommend you steer clear. You’ve...
Read moreWhere do I start - menu was varied enough, plenty of seafood options but the majority of starters were extremely expensive (12+ euro for the most part).
My husband and son shared a seafood paella which they said wasn't bad, however the prawns still had the digestive tract in it which was pretty gross. I got the fillet steak which came with very odd side dishes of basmati rice, fries and a mix of veg and a very gloopy tasteless mushroom sauce. I asked for it to be cooked medium and it was totally grey in parts and others more medium rare. My daughter got the kids neopolitan pasta and it looked like tomato ketchup had been dumped all over the spaghetti. No cheese came with this which my daughter likes so we politely asked for some parmesan, ages later still no sign so my husband asked another waiter and he responded extremely rudely. Eventually we got the cheese along with a glass of house white for me which was warm.
Most bizarre part was one of the waiters coming over to us and scraping together the last of my husband and sons paella and slapping it on to their respective plates (my son was full). Then when we asked for our bill he came back a while later and started slamming the plates together really hard. We were all shocked and had no idea why he was behaving like this. So I paid the 125 euro bill and left ZERO tip which we always leave at least a 10% tip once service is good regardless of the food as it's not the servers responsibility to cook the food. But their attitude was so bad I couldn't justify a tip. All in all a poor experience, over hyped, very rushed and rude staff. Find somewhere else to get seafood as this...
Read moreRude, arrogant 'head" waiter. Sat on the sea side as children were in sea and we could watch them, but the sun got hot so we asked for the shade to be pulled down as it was the day before. Placed order for food and more drinks.
Arrogant waiter moved us to a side table in the shade.
We questioned the fact that we had ordered food and would it come to our new table. Arrogant waiter exploded suggesting that we needed our own personal waiter!!!
I tried to explain that were simply trying to find out if we needed to reorder at the new table but his mouth was open and his ears tightly shut as he argued over me. He assured me we would get what we ordered. One on the drinks we ordered never arrived! We found the Arrogant waiter who had assured us our order would be complete, to tell him a drink was missing. He said to sit down and HE MIGHT bring it over!!
Very soon after we were moved into the shade, the sunshade was pulled down on our original table so we could have stayed.
Wouldn't stand for that backchat in the UK.
Food arrived. Plates and glasses were removed before all had finished.
Won't be going there again even though we visit Lanzarote often.
If he doesn't like his job, I'm sure there are plenty who would...
