Dangerous and judgemental! Be careful if you have an allergy. We chose this restaurant as we like good traditional Canarian food. We received a lukewarm welcome on arrival, maybe because we have a baby or maybe because one of the party uses a wheelchair? Our Son has an egg allergy and we were happy to see the pasta and tomato sauce was egg free according to the children’s menu online( it has an allergy key). After ordering wine, we were the last to be attended to, I asked the waiter for the children’s pasta which was egg free, he was shocked as to why I thought this given it was tagliatelle. When I pointed out it was because his own menu stated so the waiter offered no apology! Sadly, we are experts in which pasta varieties contain egg as our Sons wellbeing depends on it. I suggested they make my son some rice and fish to which he told me the rice would take 30 minutes to boil. We left immediately and had to pay a bill for wine we couldn’t drink. Still no apology despite it being their mistake! They do not deserve...
Read moreWent here recently while on holiday. It opens at 1pm but we arrived slightly early. The staff were happy for us to take a seat outside until they opened up, then immediately gave us menus and offered us drinks. I had noticed online that there was a fish of the day option that wasn’t on the menu. We asked our waiter and he gave us several options of different fishes, as well as hire we wanted it cooking. We wanted to eat grilled whole fish, so he recommended lemon fish, that was butterflied then grilled with garlic and jalapeño peppers. It was the nicest, freshest fish I’ve ever eaten! I was also pleased with the price; €30 per person for the fish, and the local draught beer was €3.75 for a pint. The only downside is the location. It’s located directly on a busy port, so not very picturesque. But the venue itself was well maintained and...
Read moreNever, ever again. It used to be a lovely place that I recommended many times. Today I went there and asked for a table for me and my wife. Telling them my wife would arrive later. I was offered a table with one chair in a corner without table cloth or silverware, while all other tables were set. And while still standing I was handed the plastic menu. I asked for one of the nice tables but they refused to seat me there. There were about 6-7 tables available, the place was half empty. The waiter gave me an arrogant look and told me that the only table available for me was the one for one person. I basically was told to get lost. Walked 100 meters and ate at the Cofradía. As usual very friendly people and...
