I wanted to eat zamburinas (grilled bay scallops) my whole vacation. Initially there was another restaurant that i wanted to visit that has zamburinas. But they were closed that day. This was my last night in Lanzarote and i needed to eat these. So i found this place on Google maps and decided to go there. The asian waitress was so kind. We talked a bit and i thought of ordering 5 dishes, thinking tapas are small (in the Netherlands they are small). But she recommended me to order 2 dishes because 5 is too much. I ordered grilled bay scallops (zamburinas) and traditional Galician Octopus. They were both delicious, but the zamburinas were utterly divine, i tell you! I had to order another portion of 8 pieces. In my own country i only had the normal scallops which are delicious, but now after eating zamburinas, i prefer these more. They were so buttery and tasty. I def recommend this place. Eventhough i had just 2 different dishes, they were great, the atmosphere was welcoming/warm and the service was 👌 They offered me a glass of honey rum (ron miel) on the house. I usually don't drink alcohol, but i tried it and it was sweet and easy to drink (immediatly got a red face afterwards 😂)
The asian waitress made my last night memorable by being so kind and lovely ❤️
If i ever come back to Lanzarote, i would eat...
Read moreI find this to be the best place for tapas in Playa Blanca. Big selection, always fresh and nicely prepared dishes, attentive although a bit distanced waiters. It's a bit pricy for this area, we usually end up at 110-120 euros for a family of four, wine included. We've been coming here for years and always had it as a fave here. This year my rating is four, not five star as it would have been previously. They delivered this year too, but did not wow us anymore. For instance, we ordered white asparagus, and got watery, canned asparagus. Fair enough had you told us in advance. We then got the fresh green instead, but sadly these were grilled to mush, too salty and the hard part of the stem was not removed. I have to remark that the dishes were promptly taken away, they graciously apologized and we were not charged. Everything else was to our satisfaction, their fresh foie gras is outstanding. Prawns fresh&bounzy, great selection of spanish hams, Chorizo and other meats, local cheese and local wine, the white dry Stratvs is fabulous. The kids love their croquetas and meatballs. Bread is generous, home made and fresh, the alioli perfect. We will of course be back next time around. 😊And hope to find them back at their...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I visited for a meal last night Thursday 18th November. The owner is a lovely guy who made us feel welcome. The food was out of its world but sadly the service didn't match the standard of food. We knew there would be a delay as the restaurant was very busy at the time. My girlfriend and I ordered 7 Tapas dishes as we wanted some traditional food. We waited around 20 minutes for the first dish and then around 20 minutes later we got next two dishes followed by another dish. So we were left waiting 30 minutes for the potatoes dish and also the cheesy bread. So overall it was about 1 hour 20 minute wait. We waited to eat as we wanted all the dishes together but sadly because of this the food went cold. To get the remaining dishes we had speak to two separate staff members. Then we eventually received the last dishes. We were disappointed by the service. As we had to wait so long and then to top it all off people that had arrived after us and hadn't waited very long had got all of their tapas dishes and were nearly finished before we had ours. Like I said the owner is a nice guy and the food was lovely but service was slow. If service was to have been at a higher standard I would have easily given a 5...
