La Piparra — Restaurant in Zaragoza

This amazing little restaurant is located close to the old town centre of Bilbao. They offer a relatively fixed menu every day which includes a soup, the main course, and a dessert. We tried both the hot veggie broth as well as the cold cucumber soup and they were both delicious and refreshing. For the main course we had curry and a vegan steak and both were great as well. As for the desert - a chocolate cake and a cheesecake - they were the cherry on top! The best part is - everything was vegan! As for the service, the server was really kind and helpful. I ate lunch here on a Saturday and sat down right away, with a beautiful view of the street. I ordered a beer and one of their combo plates (migas con verduras, chorizo vegetal, casero y ensalada). I didn't quite know what migas were, but it was a bread crumb dish with vegan chorizo and salad. It was very tasty, light on the tummy dish and their veggie chorizo had a nice flavor/light spice. Amazing!!! There is a lot of Vegan Food and it is super delicious! Many tostadas, Sandwiches and bocadillos but also cake and sweet things. The store itself is great too, with books and pictures; very beautifully made. Staff is super friendly!!
