A friend and I had lunch here a few months ago. We made reservations for 1:00pm when the kitchen opened, and after an hour my friend had to leave to make an appointment. I had a bit of my dessert left and decided to stay 5 minutes after she left to finish. A few minutes after she left our waiter came up to me at the table and told me I would have to leave soon to free the table. I agreed, but no less than two minutes later a different man came up to me and told me I had to go that moment. I left before finishing my food, less than an hour and a half after we had arrived. I was flustered, embarrassed, and in shock at being kicked out of a restaurant despite having a reservation and staying within a reasonable timeframe. I understand that they're a busy restaurant, but they should budget at least an hour and a half for each sitting in order to avoid rushing patrons. I speak Spanish proficiently so nothing was lost in translation. I've never experienced such rude service in my life, and it was a shame because up until then the meal...
Read moreMy partner and I came here for lunch on a Monday and it was excellent! The daily set menu had lots of options and everything we had was delicious! The set menu was €18 each and included bread, a starter, a main, a dessert, and a wine (though we swapped for a soft drink). For the amount and quality, this was great value! It’s popular so we recommend booking or arriving at the start of service. For starters we had scrambled eggs with a bolognaise sauce and a creamy tomato and lamb risotto. For mains we had a tube steak with squid ink couscous and beef schnitzel with a tomato, spinach and onion sauce topped with blue cheese. For dessert we had a no-bake cheese cake and a yoghurt with mango sauce (they also offered a baked cheese cake, tiramisu, rice pudding, a type of custard, and something else we didn’t catch). We were so full by the time it got to dessert so this is a great place to come on an...
Read moreGreat menú del día. Our son who lives in the city took us there for lunch as he has eaten there several times before. We had three courses for €16 which was really good value for the quality of the food and pleasant service. We are getting on so we were full after the three courses. I had a risotto to start which was quite filling and very tasty. I followed with the turkey and it was a big portion of meat with a tasty sauce. I had the chocolate cake which was nothing fancy, it was just ok. I tasted a couple of the other postres and they were pretty average, mainly gelatin with some flavour. I don’t think you can expect too much more from the desserts considering the good price, they are acceptable for the price. Definitely worth a visit and you are advised to book as...
