I recently visited Golden Curry, an Indian restaurant, and I had a wonderful experience. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, from spicy curries to creamy desserts. The environment is nice and calm, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the food. The place also has good places to take photos, especially upstairs where they have a beautiful lighting system. The staff are very friendly and professional. They check on the customers time to time and look for their needs. They also provide recommendations and suggestions for the best dishes to try. The food is very tasty and well-presented. There are many choices to suit different preferences and tastes, but they are a bit expensive compared to other restaurants. However, there is no service charge or tax added to the bill, which is a fair deal. The restaurant has a lot of space and can accommodate large groups of people. It is suitable for a family dinner or a date night. There are less choices for vegetarians, but they are good and satisfying. The restaurant opens at 1:00 p.m. and is a good choice for dinner because of the cozy and romantic atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Indian cuisine and wants to have a relaxing and satisfying meal. Golden Kitchen is one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to. --- I hope this review helps you. 😊

A Delicious Surprise in the Heart of Kandy If you're visiting Kandy and craving rich, flavorful Sri Lankan-Indian cuisine, The Golden Curry is a must-visit spot. Tucked away in a charming part of the city, this restaurant offers a warm and welcoming experience that goes beyond just good food. One of the highlights of our visit was the impeccable service. Our waiter, Marso, was nothing short of amazing – incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely polite. He guided us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations and a smile that made us feel at home. Now, onto the food – wow. The Suspense Fried Rice Mixed is a standout. Packed with vibrant flavors and a delightful blend of vegetables, egg, and your choice of protein, it's a satisfying meal on its own. Pair it with their creamy, aromatic Paneer Curry, and you've got a match made in food heaven. The soft paneer cubes soaked in a rich, spiced gravy are perfect for vegetarians and curry lovers alike. The ambiance is clean, casual, and comfortable – ideal for solo travelers, couples, or families looking to relax after a day exploring Kandy's sights. Highly recommended for both the food and the service. Ask for Marso if he's working – he'll take great care of you.

While the flavors of the food were enjoyable, the overall dining experience was marred by significant delays in service. Despite multiple reminders, it took several attempts to receive basic amenities like water, which arrived late when the meal was almost over. Understandably, the holiday rush and limited staff may have contributed to these delays. However, the most concerning aspect was the discovery of a piece of STONE in the biriyani. Despite bringing this to the attention of the Staff and the Manager, there was no acknowledgment or effort to address the issue. Their dismissal of the incident and assertion that such an occurrence is impossible due to pre-cooking scanning procedures was both baffling and disappointing. To make matters worse, no apology or compensation was offered for the inconvenience and potential danger posed by the foreign object in the food. This lack of accountability and customer care left a lasting negative impression, overshadowing an otherwise enjoyable meal.

My dining experience at the golden curry restaurant was a mix of highs and lows. The service, led by Abdul, was impeccable - attentive and courteous, enhancing our overall enjoyment. We sampled a range of dishes, from the flavorsome Mutton Chukka to the creamy Butter Chicken and the aromatic Chettinad Chicken, paired with fluffy Parota and fragrant Garlic Naan. While the Shezwan Pani Puri stole the show with its explosive flavors, the remaining dishes fell short of expectations, offering a rather average culinary experience. Furthermore, a waiter from Matale left much to be desired with his lack of professionalism, notably commenting negatively on one of the desserts. Despite these drawbacks, The golden curry restaurant remains a destination for decent food and exceptional service, with potential for improvement in consistency and staff training to elevate the overall dining experience.

Starting from the top. We were welcomed by the front desk and were promptly escorted to the table. We were given the preferred table and the service was also very pleasant by Mr.Hamdan. Ensuring the food satisfaction at all times. The product knowledge and upselling of signature dishes in the hotel by Hamdan was very skillful. And we tried 3 signature varieties of biryani Madurai and Chennai style. Also the signature Jigardanda drink. Food was great and served quickly and we enjoyed everything. I would only recommend a background music to add more finesse to the environment. Which will reduce the noise made by the plates and staff and give space for the guests to dine peacefully. And also pleasant smile and gesture would be much appreciated. Other than that the deco, the vibe, the service, crockery and cutlery were all top class. I would definitely come back again to dine in here.

Once I saw this place from the street and it got my attention, I really wanted to pay a visit. The interior is quite nice, like in an Arabic palace. They have given so much thought into it. We sat in a table with a nice view. The waiter was friendly and helped us to choose something new to try, gave us detailed information on the food. Food was served very fast and in a proper way. We had a Chennai chicken Chukka buriyani, Chettinad chicken dish and a lime drink (I think, as I can remember 😅). Food has a lot of spices and excitement, enjoyed every bit of it. We had something for dessert, it was soo good! Please help me to remember the name 🤪 I think there’s no parking and no wheelchair access. Overall, Supiriii!!!
