I suppose the only salvation for the fine-dine enthusiasts in the town.CT~ Ceylon table is just a stone throw from the iconic St. Lucia’s Cathedral, and located at one of the decent neighbourhood, Colombo13. This serves the best ambient and the convenient place to dine at. The herbal water served to all customers regardless as a welcome gesture, simply hints the mission of the restaurant. My multiple visits never failed to conclude with a drink to quench my desire, as CT serves the best Smoothies and Mojitos that I would recommend. The Menu proves the restaurant desires a higher level of culinary artistry. And that is evident in the Biryani and Ravana-Padayal served. Hospitality is at very satisfactory point, and cleanliness seems strongly a faith of the restaurant. Food tasted good, delicious as well as within the boundaries of health consciousness. Should be a good pick for a date, catchup with a friend, family occasion, and also a Me-time dinner as the restaurant gives the best company. CT is a must if you are visiting or even passing by Kotahena.

A nice place to chill with family and friends. The ambiance is lovely, following a Tamil-themed design that feels unique and well-executed. The service is friendly and welcoming, adding to the experience. I tried the mutton biriyani, parotta padayal, lemon mojito, and brownie with ice cream. The mutton biriyani was flavorful, with a good portion of meat. The parotta padayal, which included 4-5 types of parottas, was decent but not entirely worth the price. The lemon mojito was disappointing—it felt more like lemon juice than a mojito. For dessert, the brownie with ice cream was okay but could be improved. A gulab jamun with ice cream would better align with the restaurant's Tamil theme. One highlight was the biriyani side dish curry, which paired perfectly with the parotta and gave it a unique flavor. However, the curry combinations could use some refinement to enhance the overall dining experience.

We went to Ceylon Table for dinner on January 1st. It had been on my list for a while, ever since I saw it on Instagram. I’d say the place lived up to the hype! Our group of three ordered some hot beverages and the "Padayal" combos—vegetarian, chicken, and parotta—along with a few vegetarian and non-vegetarian starters. The filter coffee and masala chai were excellent, and the starters were decent. The main dishes arrived with an array of protein options and veggie sides. Each item was unique and flavorful. The portions were generous—so much so that we struggled to finish everything! The ambiance was lovely, and the interior design was well thought out, adding to the overall experience. However, the service could have been quicker; we had to wait more than five minutes between the starters and the main courses. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to enjoy with friends and family.

I am extremely dissapopinted with the service I got. I called in to order a takeaway. When questions were posed in Sinhala the male person answering I felt could'nt understand what I had asked. this was confirmed when I went to collect. Initially I wanted a normal Rice and Curry, but when he could not tell me what was in the menue for vegetables, I decided to check on the fried rice optiopn. I inquired as to what the dish contains for the fried rice. He said chicken, chillie paste and a sauce. I asked for a vegetable chop suey to be added, which he declined. I still decided to proceed with the order, and told him to give him three seperate packs of fried rice with the chiken dish seperately. On collection, there is no chicken dish. to see the chicken is shredded and mixed into the rice. My goodness I lost it. I had to pay Rs. 1800/- more for three chicken drumsticks. I asked for chicken legs and instead I got drumsticks. the two boys, did'nt know the difference of a drumstick and leg. They seem to know very little of both languages. He clearly had not understood my order, and misled me the customer and he too had not understood his customers requirement. I regretted not ordering from an Uber Eats. I would have gotten a far...

Last evening was the first time I ordered from your restaurant,,, It was delivered and prior to ordering I spoke with one Rukshan who was very assistive,, It was chicken fried noodles,, and it was tastefully done,. A clean and neat tight packaging as well,, But the quantity of chicken was far below expectations, there were just very few tiny pieces of fried chicken and boiled chicken which is totally unacceptable. There very less greens and carrots and it was mostly plain boiled noodles at the bottom of the pot.

I will be visiting the restaurant in the near future and expect to dine in. Would then know whether there’s two different kinds of services,, one for dine in and the other for take away,,,

But till then management need to look at the quantity of the items that goes into a dish

Recently I visited the restaurant on two occasions once to get the executive lunch,, very tasty and a good deal,,

The other time was to pick up some fried rice and biriyani,,, Yess big improvement from the last time with more pieces of the chicken,,,,

Quantity was also good,, Keep it...
