This is a restaurant I've been wanting to go to for about a year. Finally I got the chance to pay a visit and that was a true oasis for my senses. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a friendly and fluffy dog named Max upon arrival.. The restaurant offered a choice of indoor or outdoor seating, and I opted for the outdoor seating as it was blended seamlessly with nature, creating a truly serene dining experience. The service was top-notch, with the General Manager, Mr. Gamini, personally welcoming me and describing the menu items in a polite and informative way. I ordered one of the restaurant's most popular dishes, the Tori Teri bowl, and the quantity was just right. The star of the dish was undoubtedly the teriyaki chicken, which was so good that it blew me away with its taste. I did wish there was a bit more protein in the bowl, but the dish was so well-balanced that it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment. When compared to similar restaurants, especially "bowl'd", the portion sizes at this restaurant were slightly smaller and had less protein for a slightly higher price point. However, the service at this restaurant was so exceptional and the staff were attentive and always made sure that everything was okay, and this is a huge plus point for the restaurant. I will definitely be visiting again soon to relive this culinary and sensory experience.
The parking situation at the restaurant is a bit hectic. There are no dedicated parking spaces, and patrons are forced to park on the side of a narrow road. This can make it difficult for more than two vehicles to pass at the same time and can be a safety hazard. It would be beneficial if the restaurant could provide designated parking for...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem! We came here looking for a quick bite but we were surprised at how beautiful the place was! We ordered the Korean Fried Chicken starter, the Bon Bon Chicken Bowl and the Maguro Tuna bowl.
The KFC starter was sweet, sticky and a perfect start to an excellent meal! It was smothered in teriyaki sauce but it wasn't too sweet! Perfectly balanced in flavour topped with some sesame seeds.
The Bon Bon Chicken bowl was more of the same kind of chicken as the KFC (so I'd actually recommend not getting the KFC starter if you're going to order the Bon Bon Chicken if you are looking for variety). It was paired with some kimchi and made Korean style. The flavours went together so perfectly and the rice was the perfect vessel for the various sauces and flavours that the bowl contained.
But the star for me was the Maguro tuna bowl. I'd of course recommend the fatty tuna bowl if they have it (they were out of stock when we came here) but the yellow fin tuna was excellent all the same. The sauce it was in served as the perfect compliment and we absolutely enjoyed it!
The service was absolutely impeccable! The server was receptive and extremely helpful, guiding us through the entire menu and giving us his expert opinion on what we should order.
To conclude, the service was top notch, the ambience is absolutely stunning, I can't even tell that we are in Colombo, and the food was spectacular! 10/10 I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for some classy and elegant food in a tranquil...
Read moreI had this place in mind for some time and was finally able to visit. The service is quite good, with a friendly manager who greets you and is very polite to the patrons. The atmosphere is quite serene, with calm gentle music playing in the background, an open garden and very comfortable seating spread out the restaurant. It is actually a restaurant + a boutique hotel. The table they had arranged for us was at the rooftop, which takes four flights of stairs to reach. It was worth the climb as we had the space to ourselves and it was quite spacious. The food was quite delicious! The menu had a decent number of options, accommodating vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. We tried the Katsu, Bon Bon, Teriyaki Tofu and Falafel bowls and they were all quite delicious. The vegetable spring rolls were nice too. The kimchi is unique, but not authentic. We had a great time here and the visit was more memorable thanks to the friendly service. We didn't realise that the restaurant closes at 22:00, and left only around 22:25. The staff were waiting downstairs patiently until we left. Our apologies to the staff to have kept them waiting! Cozy place and cozy food,...
