I won’t claim that I am a gourmand or anything, but traveling to more than 70 counties and just loving Indian cuisine, no matter where I tried it, this was the first time I didn’t finish my main course because it was so poor.
Don’t get me wrong: Starters, mango lassi and the garlic naan were good (not as perfect as others claim). Service was also good and everyone was friendly, but the main course was awful. Very creamy and thick, totally generic taste in both my butter masala and my husband’s korma and the paneer cheese had a very smoky taste to it, which actually made it quite inedible. There was really no distinctive taste to our main courses, it seemed like they used the same base and just threw in some spices for color, but not for taste. It really made me sad after a long day of traveling because Indian cuisine is absolutely my favorite.
Due to the various very good recommendations we were thinking, yes, this is our dinner place for tonight, but we left disappointed....

However when it came to take the rice for our dishes the rice they brought out was barely above room temperature and wasn’t even enough for 2 of us. We had to ask for more rice 4 times before we had enough to finish our meals with.
They charged us 50kr for a mango lassi that is almost exactly the same as you buy for 10kr at ICA, but put in a fancy glass.
The dishes themselves weren’t horrible, but some of the meats were quite a bit chewy.
And to top off the eating experience we learned the reason why they come out with tiny portions of rice, that have to be shared by the entire table, is because they charge you 25kr per bowl of rice🙄
Their decor however is a bit over the top, but well within what you’d expect from an...
Read moreTo be very honest, this is not at all true Indian food. Indian food tastes a lot better and more fresh/authentic spices/veggies/protein. So please consider that you won't be getting the real Indian taste or anywhere even mildly close to it. We took away the food for dinner and the food smelled horrible even when kept overnight in fridge, which meant only a lot of garlic was used which isn't that authentic of Indian dishes.
This is more of a Bengali/Bangladeshi cuisine.
The staff is amazing, that is no doubt and very friendly. So...
