Blue Brunch & Bar — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

Today I had the worst experience ever in this restaurant. On the 16/11/24 I arrived around 11:10 and asked for a table for 3. We got offered the bar but we decided to wait for a table. Once a table finally became free, the hostess deliberately (without even looking at us) asked the group behind us to take the table just because they were a "bigger group" that would fit better in a table for 4. When I claimed why she did that, she said the girls claimed they "had been there before but left" which is BS and not my problem, if that had been the case, she could have asked us before letting them in. We were in the queue first and they never mentioned such a thing to us when they arrived. The hostess was very disrespectful and even racist because we didn't speak swedish and she completely ignored we were there. She wanted us to sit in the bar even tho we patiently waited for a table as requested in the beginning. We had waited for over 30 mins. We decided to leave. Very disappointing. 16 November 2024 at 11:00 in the morning we went to the restaurant, we was 3 persons and the host girl let us wait 1 hour outside, and let the girls behind us pass first, she didn’t even ask to us if we was fist, not event because we were clearly before the other group in the line. She alleged that the girls behind us said they were first but for a strange reason she asked JUST TO THEM in Swedish and totally ignored us. We told her and she could not give us any solution or a reason, she just decided we had to wait at least 20 minutes more outside in the rain. Quite rude experience, so strange attitude, definelity not coming back. Totally different experience in Brunchoteket, we waited for 20 minutes and the host brought hot tea to us and thanked for our patient to wait outside because was...

We arrived early on a Saturday morning, but since we hadn't reserved a seat, we could only sit outside. Luckily it was warm enough.

Ordering as a foreigner is difficult, because you can't do it at your table, as suggested, because you need "Swish". Instead, you have to go inside and pay at the counter, which also means that the food comes individually, because the order isn't listed as one big one, but as several separate ones. This means that some people might be finished before others get their food.

Other than that, the food was okay, but nothing special. The shakshuka was okay, but I missed some spice(s), the pancakes didn't convince me (as I prefer sourdough ones). My chai was prepared with a syrup, not homemmade, a sweet...
