Salsa & Salsa — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

I went there because I have heard about this place from many friends. But I was very disappointed! When we came in, there was no one to take us in so we had to run after a waitress and tell her we had booked a table. Then, we got a table at the end of the left corner of the restaurant and there were NO music. Total silence. (The speaker was broken for tonight ). We ordered drinks, starters, main course and a drink with the main course.

Drinks: came in after a very very long time. Tasted ok, nothing fancy or so.

Starters: we order nachos and elote. The nachos was absolutely delicious, we loved it!

Main course: I ordered vegetarian Quesadillas. It was cold but tasted ok, absolutely not worth the price.

Service: mainly young girls that were really trying to do their best and they were very nice! But we felt like they forgot about us many times. But still I liked them :)

Conclusion: probably would have been much better if the music was working and if we have got a better table. You go there for the experience and the environment but I would not recommend it only...

I don’t think I can recommend this place enough to people not only is the food absolutely delicious but It really reminded me of home I’m from America and the food reminded me of some of my favorite taco places back home I got the flautas and they were soooooo good and the sauces they came with absolutely delicious as well we got a pink margarita for the table and it is one of the best margaritas I have had in a long while salsa&salsa is not like those other Swedish Mexican food places where the food is barely Mexican it really is that good and I highly recommend the atmosphere of the restaurant was awesome with the music and the design it really reminded me of my trips to Mexico I highly recommend salsa & salsa if you want delicious food fantastic drinks and amazing vibes it truly is a place to mark for your trip to Gothenburg! Also whoever made the music playlist deserves a raise the music...

Great staff. Lovely food. Looked after us well despite having zero command of Swedish. Interesting ambiance/theme. A lot of the guests end up wearing sombreros they give out for the novelty which actually gives the place quite an unusual vibe.

The especial burger with chorizo minced in with the beef is amazing and quite unusual.

All chips are sweet potato chips.

As a salsero I have to say that 'salsa & salsa' probably just means sauce and sauce as we'd hoped for a bit of salsa music....and in reality it was ' Bachata y Bachata' still nice (although technically Dominican).

Anyway great place. No English menu (Spanish dish titles but the detailed description is only in Swedish. Use Google translate's photo system to translate the menu see photo provided for example).

Tip for staff - seriously folks do get some actual salsa music! Only way our evening could've...
