Bongo | Kök & Bar — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

The fried torsk was chewy like rubber. It looked like mc donalds chicken nuggets. The rest of the dish tasted good but not anything super special. My boyfriend has the steak with some salad and that was alright but , again, nothing super impressive. My drink was okay, I got a mixed drink of rum and coconut I can’t remember but they toasted some of the coconut flakes on top and it actually tasted like garlic ?... However the Parmesan fries we ordered were the best thing we ate actually. Just disappointing because the main dishes should be the best. I don’t know why this place has 5 star reviews. I would understand 3 but 5?! Makes no sense. Staff were great...

What an amazing restaurant. A hip atmosphere, with food and cocktails to go with. Went on my own and ordered the langos and the rib. They do not lie when they tell you that they grate a lot of cheese on the langos. The rib was melting just by scraping the fork, and the spices were delicious. I was sitting at the bar so I could see the cocktail making process first hand. I went for two classics but they had other options that sounded equally delicious. My only complaint is that one of the bits of langos was very dry, and that the waiting time was too long (but they were full) I can...

As a tourist, first day ever at this city, and since I have hardly found a place that is opened, I am waiting for my double espresso for 30 min already. OK, I am standing next to the opened area, but only because smoking cigarettes is not allowed at the tables AT ALL!... Finally a waiter saw me.... Hopefully I will not wait next half of hour 🙄 10 min later, while the restaurant is full, he explains that espresso machine was not on, and therefore they are unable to make cafe. He offered some juice, but thank you no. I need a cafe... So, even 1 star is too much...
