Decent service, horrible food. Me and my partner ordered clam soup and veal schnitzel. The schnitzel was barely warm and very dry. The cold anchovy butter wouldnt even begin to melt. The potatoes was overcooked in unsalted water. The pieces of raw onion and leathery bacon didnt help either. As for the soup it was an absolute nightmare! I suppose they lack in basic culinary training because so much was just plain wrong. The white wine was not reduced properly and the onion was still raw. Way to much garlic and absolutely no salt at all, the soup was also completely split with fat droplets everywhere. The bread and aioli tasted store-bought and did little to help the situation. Disappointing because the menu clearly stated home-made. Nobody bothered to see how we were doing or even ask us if we perhaps wanted something more to drink, coffee, dessert or whatever. Read moreMy favorite restaurant in Gothenburg! My now-husband and I had a lovely meal here in the summer time, and enjoyed it so much that we ended up hosting our wedding here in the autumn! The owner and staff are so sweet and accommodating, the atmosphere is intimate and cozy, the wine is great, and the food is simply delicious. Our favorites are the pizza bianco, the moules frites, of course Swedish meatballs, and the sardines appetizer. Sitting outside here on a nice day is such a relaxing and perfectly Swedish experience. Hemma Hos gave us the beautiful wedding we always dreamed of, and we'll never forget it. Can't wait to be back next time...

The service made you feel as though you were a regular at this place. It was the best Swedish meatballs we had thus far in Sweden. The server gave me the recipe for the meatballs but unfortunately I could t get the recipe for the gravy out of him:(. If you are in Gothenburg….walk up to the top of the hill for a good view from Skansenkronan and the. Walk back down and go straight to Hemma Hos and sit...
