A Mixed Experience: Decent Food I was recommended this Korean restaurant and had high hopes, especially since I booked a table to come with friends. Upon entering, the waitress was very friendly and welcoming. However, the owner(s) were standing by the bar and clearly noticed us come in, but didn't even look up or offer a greeting. I had to loudly greet them instead, which I found quite unwelcoming (a Lady) It's not a pleasant feeling when you walk into a shop or restaurant and have to actively seek eye contact just to be acknowledged by the staff. Later, when I asked to have our table wiped because it was dirty, the owner's attitude was far from pleasant. It really dampened the mood. The food itself was okay – not bad, but definitely overpriced. It was worth trying once, but I honestly don't see myself returning. Having been to South Korea myself, this restaurant's take on Korean food is spot on. The staff is super friendly and accommodating who care about the presentation of the food and even guide you on how it's supposed to be eaten if you're a newbie. The pancakes are delicious but their fried chicken (Dakgangjung) is an absolute hit. The mains' portions are also quite good and my personal favorite was the spicy pork (Jeyugbokkum) which is packed with flavour. Visited tonight for my wife's birthday as she has an interest in Korea and her Birthday was Korean themed. So naturally I had to book a Korean restaurant and we where not disappointed. The food was amazing and had textures we had not experienced before, and the tastes where super nice.
