Plaza Restaurant & Bar is a simple and pleasant restaurant located on the bustling Stora Torget in Visby. With a menu that includes classic dishes such as entrecote, plank steak, and hamburgers, they offer familiar flavors that are well-executed.

The food at Plaza Restaurant & Bar is of high quality, and the ingredients appear to be carefully chosen. I had the pleasure of trying their entrecote, and I must say that the meat was juicy and perfectly grilled. It was served with flavorful accompaniments that complemented the dish well. The plank steak and hamburger were also satisfying, albeit somewhat predictable.

The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, making it a nice place to enjoy a good meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was generally good.

However, I cannot overlook the fact that Plaza Restaurant & Bar doesn't particularly stand out. The dishes on the menu are quite ordinary and lack that extra something that would make them memorable. There is nothing unique or surprising about the dining experience here, which is a shame because the restaurant has the potential to differentiate itself...

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I ordered the oxfilé plank and my fiancée ordered the lamb with truffle mousse. Our food came out fast (which is good), but both dishes were cold. My fiancée mentioned the cold food to our male waiter who then shrugged their shoulders, said “oh it is?” and just walked off. My fiancée said her lamb tasted good, aside from being cold. But my oxfilé tasted like an old leather fisherman’s boot 🥾 ……oh and it was cold. The meat was cold, gray and covered in fat. I didn’t even finish half of it. I’ve eaten a lot of steak in my lifetime and I think this was a frozen piece of meat that sat in the freezer all summer long during tourist season. As someone said in another review it’s just a tourist trap. Great patio, great location and all the tourists flock there but the food sucks. Will not make that mistake again, as that was the worst dinner I’ve ever had. It was like I ordered a steak...
