A hidden gem. As an American traveling in Kalmar, I certainly did not expect to find the best American barbecue I’ve had in my life - but here it is. I’ve been throughout the west and south United States and have tried countless iterations and approaches to barbecue in the US, but this place is hands down the best. The meat is so rich and smoky—perfectly done—and what you get for the price is absolutely fantastic. Two of us split the tray (I think it was called a “table breaker”?) for about 600 SEK which, speaking as someone who lives in the states and has often had barbecue there, is an absolute steal. Read moreBrisket & friends is an amazing smoking house. Ideal for meat lovers. There are three options, small, medium and big. Take care of the big meal, it's huge. I really had the big one and I was completely filled, it was tough to finish it so I totally recommend the medium meal.
