Racist, Disrespectful and Absolutely Unacceptable I had one of the worst dining experiences ever at Kinjo Sushi in Lund. My wife and I (both Indian) visited the restaurant during a non-busy time. We placed our order and waited patiently for over an hour — without any food arriving.
Meanwhile, we watched multiple white customers who came in after us being served promptly, one after another. When I finally asked what was going on, the staff told me they hadn't even started preparing our order. To add insult to injury, they were already preparing food for yet another white customer who had just walked in.
When I asked for some water while we waited, they told us they “don’t have water to drink.” That’s beyond ridiculous — and just cruel at that point.
This wasn't just incompetence. It felt like blatant racial discrimination. We were ignored, dismissed and treated as if we didn’t matter. I wouldn’t wish this kind of treatment on anyone.
If you’re a person of color or if you care about basic decency and equality, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. I hope the management takes a hard look at their behavior and realizes how shameful and damaging this kind of...
Read moreWe didn’t expect much of this place, as some sushi places are quite bad, but we were pleasantly surprised!!! The waitress was friendly and alert and she was on top of things for all in the restaurant. Our food came out quickly and everything was tasty and fresh. Thank you for a great date night meal. We will be returning soon!!!
Edit: After the trouble we had at lunch, we returned for dinner last week. The experience was, again, wonderful. From the waitress to the food, just great. We will try take out later today so we can have a romantic Valentines Day dinner at home. Avoiding crows is crucial. We look forward to a delicious dinner at home!!!!
Edit: Take away was a breeze. We called it in early and it was ready when we arrived. Our cozy Valentine’s Day at home was perfect partly thanks to Kinjo!!...
Read moreFood was fine, but can't stand their staff who doesn't even greet me with a smile. Had to even wait for somebody to take my order. I understand they're busy -- but making a customer wait while these staff just walk past me is NOT OK. I don't speak Swedish fluently yet as I'm new here, but apparently the staff is NOT INTERESTED in talking to me as they don't even look at me and ask me how the food is -- while to others who speak Swedish, they DO. This is a restaurant serving Japanese (a.k.a from Asia) dish, right? Perhaps show little bit warmer attitude next time?! I'll stick to Pleasure Food where they do greet you with a genuine smile, thank you.
Nina from Indonesia!

Look at some others who complained about...
