Bad experience, avoid if possible. I visited this restaurant on 14th August 2021. I write my review based on my experiences visiting many Indian restaurants in Sweden and a few other countries in Europe.. My opinion is to avoid this restaurant if possible considering the weird rules they have and the kind of treatment you may get.
To conclude : I had a bad experience visiting this place. The only good thing I saw was the location of the restaurant. The good ratings the restaurant has got so far could be because of the previous owners/management that used to run this place. I certainly want to visit a place where I am respected as a customer and the quantity of food I order should be as per my terms and should not be dictated by the...
Read moreHorrible experience. It was a rainy evening when we arrived Malmö, wanted a snack and something light as we would go out drinking later. When arrived and asked for some food with me and my partner the guy at the counter refused saying both need to order main course. We said we ain’t hungry , just need something light or starters and a vegetarian dish. He said no. We said okay a hara bhara kebab and a palak paneer and garlic naans. He still said no we don’t serve main course to only one person. I said we aren’t so hungry and don’t want to waste food. Clearly , the person was racist and biased since it at all did not make sense as we were ordering the chef s special starter n a main course that amounted to the same amount as two main courses. Absolutely pathetic, here for a holiday in Skåne. Ignorance and bias will be the death of their business. It didn’t even make sense business wise 😂 I am indian and you’re really biased towards Indians. Also if this is a norm then make a note of it as a rule that you only serve main course , since we haven’t seen such comments elsewhere. As travellers it can make or break the recommendations for future travellers and tourists. Edit- after this review read past reviews and it seems similar treatment to other Indian customers. Very biased, ignorant unwelcome and unprofessional, you run business in the name Indian food. Take note gentleman with specs , at...
Read moreI was debating if I should rate this according to my experience (5 stars) or my family’s experience (1 star) so I decided to go halfway.
Personally, I loved the food and the experience. I got 2 appetizers, vegetable samosas and prawns on bread. I loved both and I especially liked the yogurt mint sauce that they put on the side. The staff member that assisted us accommodated to me by providing me with an English menu and speaking english with me, all the whole speaking Swedish with my family. He was also friendly with our 4 month old baby and even gave her a doll to play with!
As for my family’s experience, they ordered dishes with chicken and meat and were surprised to find them very dry and unappealing. I am not sure what all the dishes that they ordered were, but among them was chicken tikka masala. They noted that the tikka masala was decent, but the rest of their meal was not.
The atmosphere was also quite nice! The upper seating area was more intimate while the lower deck was well lit. The restaurant is quite spacious which was nice for us as we wanted to keep our baby carriage nearby.
Overall I had a good experience, cannot say the same for others around me. I would definitely recommend the dishes that I had, and assume the same could be said for the rest of the...
