It's been over two years since I've been back to the U.S., if a city has BBQ (or tacos) we are going to try it out. Being from Alabama and living in Texas for many years, this hit the mark. We got a sampler plate for two. Nothing bad we can say, everything was juicy and tasty. Even came with the typical white bread that you can expect at any authentic BBQ that's worth it's salt. The jalepeno cheddar sausage was really nice, typically I don't get sausage but it was part of the sampler and it was so tasty. Burnt ends were melt in your mouth and basted with some good sauce. The pulled pork and brisket were also amazing. There are 3 sauces on the table, all have their unique tastes and should fit any palate. The sides were just ok for me, but the meats are why we came! There was pecan pie (I think this is a first for me to see this on a menu in Europe) but we were too full to try it. The beer and Bourbon selection is not too shabby and the prices decent. There's a lot typical American specialty drinks that I normally don't see in a bar like Alabama Slammer and Pickleback shots. The decor is super Americana and felt like a regular southern BBQ joint. Has an outdoor area as well. They played a lot of country music which really set the vibe. Staff were really friendly and quick to help! May I suggest adding Alabama white BBQ sauce and an Alabama Bushwacker to the...
Read moreI went there for lunch. This is the food I got for 145kr. Ordered 2 meat (pulled pork and burnt ends) and a side (sweet potato). It was a very sad, empty tray.
The food is very tasty, but the portions are honestly like children's portions. It was a very empty tray of food. Also feels unbalanced, like you want to have bread, but its 25kr for a single slice of bread, or perhaps another side which would be ~35kr more. You quickly get up above 200kr for what would be a standard portion size at other places nearby.
All of the example plates you see on their website, and posted on google maps cost a lot more than a standard lunch, so keep that in mind and don't be fooled by the pictures that that is a standard...
Read moreGood place to have a nice American BBQ experience, with a little downside. Place is pretty well decorated, and together with the country music, you can really feel in a BBQ place back in America. Good assortment of meats, sides and even vegetarian options. I personally recommend the Mac’ and Cheese (might be biased since I’m a Mac’ and Cheese lover😋) and the pulled pork. The downside was the brisket. Flavor wise wasn’t that rich and it was also a little dry.
Regarding drinks, they have a good beer assortment on tap. To have the complete American BBQ experience I order a nice cold Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, which was the right choice if you ask me.
Will definitely come back when I’m in the mood...
