Café BAK — Restaurant in Stockholm

Very cozy cafe with a beautiful Scandinavian interior. Modern style furniture and decor (you can read about the story behind the furniture in a book available on site). Small but enough selection of sandwiches and pastry. Good coffee. We liked it so much the first time, that we came back on our second day too. However don’t come in a hurry. One staff member does everything, makes coffee, prepares sandwiches, serves food, takes in orders… if there are more customers at the same time you may expect a longer waiting time. best pain au chocolat I have ever had. Perfectly flaky pastry, with melt-in-your-mouth chocolate. Cortado was also done very nicely. I have not tried anything else from the menu as I can't imagine ever passing up on that pain au chocolat. Funky interior, great atmosphere to post up and get some work done. I would say that they verge on being under-staffed: service is very friendly and professional, but not exactly quick. However, I personally appreciate that relaxed approach. Also, I reckon the prices are on the lower side, at least for Stockholm...

Visiting BAK is like stepping into a dream Scandinavian furniture showcase. The furnishings and furniture make this café a beauty.

We had bread with butter & pâte and a cheese croissant and coffee. It's ok.

Service in the morning was manned by only 1 staff and so painfully slow that it makes you want to leave without eating.
