I recently dined at Florentine Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. The highlight of our visit was that the restaurant happened to have a special temporary menu done in collaboration with renowned pizzaiolo Raffaele Bonetta, one of the world's best. We had the pleasure of trying two of his signature pizzas: Sunset Margherita – a refined twist on the classic Margherita, showcasing his innovative touch. Guanciale Delight – a rich, indulgent creation that emphasized flavors They both showcased the expert dough techniques, with super thin dough sheet and big puffy margins.
The atmosphere is also amazing, another standout feature. One of the first things that caught my eye upon entering was the grand cocktail bar — an impressive setup with an extensive selection of spirits and beautifully crafted drinks. It added a sophisticated touch to the restaurant, making it a great spot to enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif or a post-meal cocktail. The restaurant is designed to evoke the essence of Florence, Italy, with majestic statues, intricate mosaics, and a grand setup that transports you straight into a Renaissance-inspired space. The attention to detail in the decor creates an immersive experience, making it feel like an Italian time escape.
We visited on a weekday after work around 18:00, and there was a queue at the entrance. Despite not having a reservation, we managed to get inside within 10 minutes, which was quite reasonable. It’s unclear whether the queue was due to the usual popularity of the restaurant or the presence of Raffaele Bonetta, but it is definitely worth the wait.
If you're looking for a high-quality dining experience with a touch of culinary artistry, elegant Italian/ Renaissance ambiance, and a fantastic cocktail selection, Florentine Restaurant is a fantastic choice. It quickly became one of our favorite restaurants...

We ordered the calamari fritti, linguine gamberi, truffle tagliatelle, holy carbonara, and finished off with the Florentine’s profiterole for dessert. The food was good and the dishes were nicely presented, but unfortunately I’ve had better Italian food before.
The service was warm and friendly, with the waitstaff being genuinely attentive. However, the waiting time was a bit hard to overlook; we waited for nearly an hour before our dishes were served, and admittedly, by then, our excitement had already worn off a little.
That being said, there are a few dishes that truly stand out if you plan on dining here. The calamari fritti is an excellent starter, the winter freshness cocktail is light and refreshing, and the truffle tagliatelle is rich, indulgent, and—most importantly—well-balanced. It’s hard to find a restaurant that can pull off a good truffle pasta without it feeling overly heavy, but Florentine nailed it. To wrap up the meal on a sweet note, I’d recommend getting the Florentine’s profiterole.
Overall, it’s a decent spot with some clear highlights, but just be prepared...
