Not sure where to start. For short it's all fantastic. The location and the view, wow, not sure how anything really can compete. View all of Stockholm high over the water. Watch the ships and smaller boats, see Gröna Lund, Djurgården, more buildings/sight than you can count, even the royal castle. We sat outside two evenings and one lunch in a row and loved it.
Now to the food. We had the all you can eat buffet. It's all vegan, great and varied. There are both, none inclusive, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages that satisfied us all. Even including home made kombucha if you are into that or a few beer options, or other organic non-alcoholic beverages. Good pricing for children too for the all you can eat. Age times 10kr as of this writing.
The inclusive tea options were nice and appreciated by the tea drinkers (yogi teas among others). The included coffe not so great but please note that they also sell lots of various great coffee separately, highly recommended.
Now on to the desserts. I personally don't appreciate desserts that much but they had a great range of different delicious desserts. All vegan , and I must say all great. The Belgian chocolate cake was amazing for one. Highly...
Read moreThe oldest vegetarian buffet restaurant in Stockholm I was told. So let's go to this restaurant. The access is a bit difficult because you have to go down a steep staircase, at the bottom you are in a kind of vaulted cellar with a room for the buffet and a few chairs and a larger dining room. There are also various seats outside, certainly nice in warm weather and without rain. The buffet is plentiful and everyone is sure to find something about hot dishes to salad and hummus is everything. I really liked the lasagna and the bean salad. Still several rounds one is also once through with the menu and knows what is offered, unfortunately one is then already full and can not try again what. Taste-wise, the dishes are good but not necessarily outstanding. The price is decent, which is why my expectations were probably a bit too high and I ended up slightly disappointed from the restaurant. The service was also not necessarily good. The waitress forgot to turn on our heaters in the outdoor area, was then done by us. Even when some tables became free, we were not informed about it and were left sitting outside as the only ones. This marred the whole...
Read moreReally good recommendation from my colleagues! As a vegetarian who also doesn't eat eggs, this place was perfect. Reasonable prices, and an all-you-can-eat buffet with desserts/drinks extra (although tea/coffee/water is included). Self-service but the team do help clear the table. Student discount available. The team are so friendly, I really think that's a wonderful welcome and highlight. The food itself is also great, with good variety. The menu seems to change frequently, so there's always something new if you pop by quickly after a previous visit. Soup, bread, rice, pasta, salad, humous, roast potatoes, some curry, beans, cauliflower, beetroot etc. as a sample menu! You can call to reserve, and especially on a Sunday when other places are often closed, this is a great place to have a meal. The views are great, especially if the weather is good. The vibe with other guests is great, mostly young and friendly.
All in all, a perfect place to have at least one meal if you're visiting Stockholm and are...
