I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
The staff really let down the restaurant unfortunately, in particular the head waiter/manager who doesn't really care if you stay or go. He would rather talk to other members of staff or laugh at you, and make you wait rather than serve you.
The overall atmosphere is "we don't care" and that is made verbally clear from staff.
During our holiday we went to visit an exhibition at the Fotografiska and afterwards decided to see if we could get a drink upstairs. We walked up through the back stairwell, and then sat down unaware we needed to be seated as there was no signage.
Once we sat down my wife asked where we can order and were told to move to the next section, then once we were sat in the next section of the restaurant, were met with a confused and passive aggressive tone saying why are you here you must go to the main entrance to be seat. So we moved to the front and waited to be seated again, we waiting for a little while, as the manager was busy having a fun chat with a member of staff, and almost came over before going back to have a further chat. Once he came over he pointed at the area we were sent from to go for drinks. At this point we felt like we were being sent back to the start again.
We told him our frustration about the confusion, and were met with ok "i have told you where to sit, either go there or the elevator is over there and you can go."
We felt absolutely shocked by the experience and it made us quite upset, thankfully we had amazing service and food everywhere else. I would highly recommend taking your money to...
Read moreI dined there, last night. What a fantastic experience. It was phenomenal. PHENOMENAL. gorgeous view and the folks working there made the experience even more wonderful.
They offer a five-course menu, Thursday thru Saturday, and it's exquisite. There was a starter, I can't remember it's name but it's crispy with thinly siced cucumbers. Very good. Then, the fun begins:
Tomato (yogurt, buckwheat, lovage - yummm) Grilled salad from the basement (thin slice of pork on endive and lots of other deliciousness) Yellow beet (in a curry, mustard seeds - holy cow!) Potato (shaped like linguine!!!, with summer mushrooms and and salmon trout roe - gasp) Blueberry (Italian meringue, raspberry sorbet, sweet crisp yummyness,, drizzled with blueberry kefir-like sauce) And a mini sugar donut with blueberry preserve in the hole.
They also trick you and give you the best bread and warm sauce to dip that bread in. I'm told it's crayfish, oyster stock with dill and (I think) rosemary oil over a pat of butter. Hooo, mama!
There's a sunflower macaron with a pumpkin filling, over a bed of sunflower seeds. Along with a bite of licorice and black garlic fudge (OMG!), raspberry gelee shaped like, what else, a raspberry and an Chocolate mint wafer. There was coffee and champagne and cider, as well. I feel like I'm forgetting something.
Best dining experience. I won't...
Read moreHonestly, the most chaotic experience we've had. The place was packed (to be expected at 2pm maybe) but first of, it's unclear if it's self-seating (it is for half the place, we concluded), the queue for ordering was enormous, the music was both stressful and VERY loud (up-beat lounge music played by a house DJ (Why?!?!)) creating a very stressed ambience. You're handed a table number resulting in the staff litterally wandering in circles searching for the right table to serve the food which is such a waste of time. The food was good though (the only positive thing we have to say) Recommendation for the owner: get a QR-code-based ordering system with fixed table numbers and turn down the music. Recommendation for other guests: book a table at the actual restaurant and go here in the evening where the experience is much...
