I was just at the pub celebrating 1st of May with a group of friends. I came later and went up to order a beer. I was happy and asked if he had a beer that was lighter and more citrusy. The guy (I wouldn’t be surprised if he was the owner) at the desk didn’t seem so happy to help me pick a beer after my taste and I had a feeling he did not like me so I smiled a little extra before I sat down with my friends. About an hour later the guy walks up to our table and rebukes me for being rude. He said my behavior reminded him of his 26 year old daughter. He went on about how stingy and rude I was for a while in front of everybody. I tried to apologize but he just told me I should apologize to myself….I was a little bit in chock and felt quite uncomfortable for the rest of the evening. When we were leaving the guy followed us out the door and acted more nicely. I don’t know it was weird and I’m...
Read moreWorst experience ever. Putted a denounce with the police against one of the guards there and with the bar. One older man with glasses (a guard) touched me and pushed back and didn't want to give me my jacket at the exit when the bar was closing at 3 am at the new years eve night. He screamed at me offensive and racist comments calling me insect and other stuff. All the people observed how he treated me when I was only taking my jacket at the moment of leaving the place. Be very careful because the guards are very offensive, racist and mistreating the costumers. Called the restaurant to complaint about it and will never go back there with my friends. They even tried to talk to this man but he was only offending me and super racist. He should be fired and not deal with...
Read moreMust have been the third or fourth time I visited this place and as soon as I stepped in, the interior looked very familiar. Basically, this is a pub but if you want to have a nice couple of coffee, just go in and order a reasonably priced coffee from friendly staff. The Big Ben has a great location in the heart of Södermalm. Lodges next to the windows offer a nice view out to the streets, though if you prefer to sit at bar counter, they got one. Very spacious place with lots of chairs and lodges, you probably don't have to look for a free chair even during peak hours. It's kinda fun to see an old tobacco vendor machine, I've only seen one in South America. Anyway, I loved the place and enjoyed the coffee while watching thru the window out to the street. Highly...
