Skrapan is an interesting place because it suits whatever interest I may have that day. First of all, it’s a cool building because it’s the tallest building in the Stockholm city limits. Stockholm is a big city that lacks skyscrapers, so Skrapan is the closest one can get to one.
Skrapan has restaurants, shops, a bar and even residential living for both students and regular residents. One of the cool shops in Skrapan is “American Godis”. Here I can find the popular American foods and snacks that aren’t in the typical Swedish grocery store. Naturally, the prices are much more expensive than in the US. There is an Italian restaurant, an Asian blend restaurant, a yoghurt shop, a coffee shop and much more.
The highlight of Skrapan is the restaurant called Himlen (Heaven in Swedish). There is a beautiful view of Stockholm from Himlen, but I can’t go there regularly due to the high prices. I mark Himlen as a “special occasion” restaurant. The food, drinks and view make the prices understandable.
Skrapan sits pretty close to the city center. With it’s size, it’s hard to miss. Once inside, I’m glad I found it.

Read moreI’ve been here around 5 times before, so when my friends told me to have a dinner here I was happy 🙂. I came earlier and had some cocktails and olives. The olives come packed in a jar the same way you buy it in the supermarket instead of being home marinated as it usually is… after we went to the table and ordered more cocktails and drinks and chose our food. Me and my friend love to share every time we go eat out so that’s what we did. The tuna in the ceviche was not fresh and it didn’t had any citrins to hide it and it was missing salt as well. The tartare was cut in big squares which is not traditional and was very hard to chew, but the presentation of both dishes was very beautiful. The burger was good but the side sauce very basic. The chicken salad was missing 1 more chicken piece and the sauce was tasting fish too much and too salty. Also the rodding was over cooked. Overall the main courses presentation was not as beautiful as the starters. The desserts and espresso was perfect 👍 we also had trouble with the bill 3 times… I just want to say that this review is not to judge but yes to help to get better as I was there 5 other times and everything was great 🙂 hope this was helpful and see you soon for...
Read moreTo be honest, one of the worse restaurant experiences I have had. Extremely overpriced and very rude staff. The food was mediocre at best, better french fries can be found at mcdonalds, the creme brûlée was very clearly made without real vanilla, vegetables of poor quality and the list goes on (the steak was very well cooked and seasoned though!). BUT the biggest ick for me is if staff is rude. I am autistic and have certain food aversions (but I will point out, that they are in no way near as complicated as the waitress seemed to think) and got ridiculed by our waitress for it. I was called a “complicated customer” and two of my three reasonable requests (one was to remove a sauce, one to have my drink a tad sweeter than normal and one was to know what tea I would drink) was taken with a deep eye roll and sigh and then completely ignored.
Experiences like this is why neurodiverce people don’t visit restaurants, I am highly disappointed in the treatment of the staff. Adding to that that the food was bland and so very much overpriced, made it deserve a one...
