we only tried the first tom yom soup yet i decide to write the review now. the tom yom is really flavorful, the right balance of sour nd spicy. so nothing i am complaining about the food. I gave 2 star because of the service nd the dining atmosphere, mainly service tho.
bad service for: not feel welcomed, Cant find ppl when u need, extreamly long waiting time. u even have to wait to pay. we wait for quit a long time, waiting with our empty stomach trying to get the most out of the soup so that we dont starve to death yet the first sentence they ask is are we done? so that they can take away the empty dish. they even blame us not telling them to bring all food together. they claim that we dont have our food coming because we only get the second dish when we finish the first. if we dont want it This way we have to tell them to bring everything together, which is none sense! noone asked how we want our dishes in advance. very noisy and busy surrounding so that we feel kinda annoyed during eating also.
the food is not bad but not something really special that will make you wow or...
Read moreIt was not the first time I was here. And the fact I returned means that I thought well of the place. But latest visit will be my last. After getting a seat at a table by a waiter, we were kicked out literally by main waiter because our name was not written in the list as it should have been according to their internal rule, asking him first. We were not aware of the rigid rules, true, but we got a free table without seeing any queue at the entrance by a non-head waiter. My suggestion for owners is to promote more respect for customers in employees. I and my friends were really embarassed not just to get a "public lesson" by the young head waiter on how we should have done (we are all middle aged appreciated professionals), but to be espelled by the place because we were insisting that we got no explanations of the procedure by the waiter that gave us the table. Sorry to say...but customer is always right in my world. We went then to very welcoming restaurant "Il siciliano" on the opposite side of the street. What...
Read moreKoh Phangan Restaurant in Södermalm, Stockholm has never disappointed me. I recently visited again for lunch with friends and was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't crowded, which was a nice change. I ordered a seafood dish with lime, onion, and other ingredients, and it was delightfully spicy. As an Asian with a special heart for spicy food, this dish impressed me with its flavors and was incredibly delicious. As usual, I complemented my meal with pineapple juice.
The interior deserves a mention as well; it truly encapsulates a Thai beach vibe, making us feel as though we were vacationing in Thailand.
I also want to highlight the exceptional service provided by our waitress. She was genuinely lovely, engaging us in a conversation about our origins. Upon learning we were from Indonesia, she excitedly shared that it might be a sign for her to finalize her vacation plans to Bali, especially since she had already booked her flight. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and it added to our delightful...
