Shanti Gossip Nytorget — Restaurant in Stockholm

This was perhaps the most horrid service experience we have ever had in our lives. The waiting staff was arguably the most conceited, arrogant and cocky person we have come across. Before ordering we had specifically asked about the dish we were ordering and at that time the waiter agreed, but that's not what finally showed up on our table. We were still fine with that, but the staff himself started badgering us unprovoked on the Shanti brand almost as though he was paying for our meal and that we should be grateful. He was so full of himself that at one point he told us he has a master's as though that should command him the ego boost he eagerly looks for. Even after the initial confrontation he began and after the dish was replaced he kept on pestering us, even making the other guests sitting next to us uncomfortable. Before we left, he told us that if we want proper food we should visit the other Shanti branches and shouted "Brother, I don't recommend you visit again!" in...

The food was pretty good and the price was adequate. Would've been a really good experience, if it wasn't for the very rude service. They didn't even ask if we enjoyed our meals but instead threw the bill on our table without having asked for the bill, one guy literally rolled his eyes at us when we had a question, they knowingly served me burned naan twice (still delicious, how???), when they took the time to speak to us (which wasn't very often, apparently you can also put beverages on a table without saying a word or making eye contact) their tone was very rude and short. Having worked in restaurants myself for years, I'm pretty sure we weren't being annoying or demanding customers. I would go back for take-out if I didn't rather flush my money through the toilet than putting it in their pockets.

BTW, in case the staff reads this, there was one guy that seemed nice and was polite. It was the guy I told that my naan bread was burned and asked for...

The food is really delicious, so I would recommend going just for that. However, the service is shockingly poor with some of the rudest waiters and staff I have come across. During my last visit, they barely looked at us, slammed the cutlery down on the table and left halfway through me asking for some tap water. After waiting 5 minutes, I eventually went to get the water myself. They brought the wrong food out twice and then argued that we had ordered the wrong thing. Eventually they angrily left and then brought the food out without looking at us and just left it on the table without any words spoken. I think it's clear that everyone working there is the uncle or cousin of the owner and they really couldn't care less about the service or the customers. It's a shame because the food really...
