Shanti Gossip Kungsholmen — Restaurant in Stockholm

It pains me that I have to relay this as I have always been a fan of the Shanti collection of restaurants, especially since they often are open later than other restaurants. It was 21:50, raining, and everything nearby was closed. The beacon of a Shanti sign shined up ahead and I thought, "Finally, I bet they'll be open!" I was excited when I got to the door and as expected the hours said open until 23:00. But when we walked in, finally out of the rain, the 2 employees seated in the back said the kitchen closed at 22:00. We stared at our phones: 21:55. But no, they wouldn't take any orders. What a let down! Just another Stockholm restaurant that doesn't keep anywhere near the hours they advertise, which would certainly be banned in other countries. A disgrace to the Shanti name if I must say so. If you close your kitchen at 22:00 when your restaurant closes at 23:00, don't close it at 21:55. You've lost our business and surely will...

A new pescitarian Bangladeshi restaurant that serves up fabulous vegan and vegetarian food along side some fish curries and sizzlars. Their lunch was very reasonably priced and appeared freshly cooked, and could be a combination of 6 or so different dishes, and so arrived at the table very quickly in authentic partitioned metal dishes. Free mango lassi yoghurt based drink as well as water to accompany your food, and free coffee afterwards was included in the lunch price. Good quality fresh herbs and spices means I will be returning to sample their extensive dinner menu in the near future. The food was 5 stars, but not the dessert. None of the 3 different desserts we ordered tasted even near deliscious, rather like store bought cheep treats. This brought down the whole rating by at least a star. Service was not great either. One of the waiters was not a life-spark in general, barely smiled and they got our order a bit wrong.
