We (three persons) were placed at the most boring corner of the restaurant; right at the door in the small dull side room to the main restaurant hall although there were places by the windows in the main room. The waitress forgot us and as we couldn't wait any longer I stood up to look for the waitress. I crossed a waiter in the main room and asked if someone could come and serve us, we were ready to order. He got furious and while coming to get the order he could not hide the disgust in his face. His behaviour towards us not appropriate: he was rude, arrogant, spitted the words out of his mouth without looking at us and threw things on the table (I almost got one glass in my arms). The food was very good but this angry, badly behaving waiter scared us enough to avoid the restaurant in the future. I cannot recommend this restaurant to any of my...
Read moreIt's ok. Beautiful views by the windows, and a good amount of toilets downstairs. Not a great selection of cold food, ie mostly hot - moose anyone? Could be due to the winter season. Might be better at other times, not sure. Won't be enough seats at busy times, and it's hampered by a queue-style akin to IKEA for choosing and paying for food. The wait for food being prepared at different times was holding everything up, and some food started to go cold whilst waiting for the rest. It might be possible to order, pay and then head back to grab your plates. It still makes for disarray. Maybe it's worth it for you. There was a large group of new parents in the children's section when we were there, and perhaps the restaurant acts as a meeting point for some in tandem with a very reasonably priced, annual Skansen...
Read moreAs one should expect, the food at Solliden is acceptable but not great, its also a bit to expensive and the value for your money is thus not great. Solliden is also staffed largely by students working extra and they do not get training in neither customer handling nor instructions on how to be efficient. However one does not go to skansen for fine dining and Solliden is convinient for families with children. If considered a pit stop, to get fuel (chose the meatballs and mashed potatoes) before heading onwards to everything that makes skansen great Solliden is OK, however I still think the staff needs a bit...
