I made a reservation at this restaurant expecting to have a pleasant experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be very disappointing. Despite having a reservation, when we arrived, we were seated and then seemingly forgotten: for more than 20 minutes we didn’t receive any menus or even water, and eventually we had to approach the staff ourselves to request them.
When it was time to order, the service was unprofessional. I explained very clearly what I wanted, and my friend ordered the same dish. However, when the food arrived, only she received what we had asked for. When I pointed out the mistake, the waitress reacted in an aggressive and rude manner, walking away from the table and saying she would bring my order.
What worried me most was that, when my plate finally arrived, I noticed it did not come from the kitchen area (look the photo) where all other dishes were being served. Instead, it was brought from a separate location within the restaurant, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable about the hygiene and handling of my food.
In summary, the service was poor, the staff’s behavior was unacceptable, and the overall experience was unpleasant. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes steps to train their staff and improve both their service and food safety standards, because in its current state, I would not...
Read moreGreat interior: It feels very cosy an romantic. Candles, wooden floor and -tables. Pizza comes on a wooden plate. Nice salt&pepper dispensor on the table in copper optic. Chairs and curtains in warm but stylish turquoise color.
Drinks: 3 different tap beers including an Italian one which is super nice. Good wine selection from different regions but all are quality wines. Perhaps they could substitute the Barolo for a younger Barolo at a lower price level.A bottle a tap water comes to the table when you are seated and is complimentary.
Food: the menu offers a small selection of Italian main dishes, then pasta and pizza (6) which is a great sign for quality not to offer too many different things. We had pizza which was a little bit like hybrid of Roman and Napoli style. The dough was crisp but not super thin, which was quite filling. If they made the pizza a little bit thinner it leaves room for a desert.
Service: was great so far.
Prices are normal for Swedish restaurants but quite higher than in Italy or Germany. The pizzas were like 14€ on average, beer between 5,50€ and 7,5€ or wine starts at 7,50€ to 15€ and can be higher depending on the wine. Desserts start at 9Euro for Tiramisu.
We would come back when visiting...
Read moreIt was amazing.
I ordered a Bruschetta Alla Romana as a starter and for something as simple as bread and tomatoes, it was propably the best starter I've ever tasted. Everything was perfect. The bread was warm and toasty and everything tasted fresh with extremely good quality
As a main I ordered a Linguine Alla Villa Romana. It was not only beautiful but also tasted excellently. The taste matched the strength of the chilli perfectly. I expected it to be like most other 'Strong' food items in other restaurants but I was wrong. It was exactly enough to tickle my mouth and neck while having a very good flavor punch.
Then I ordered a Tiramisu for desert. And while it wasn't quite as good as the rest of the items it was still pretty good It had a bit too much coffee for my taste and the bottom felt really wet, but other then that I liked it.
Overall I'd give it a 9/10 due to the time it took to get the food as I had to wait usually ca. 15 minutes after I had eaten everything off my plate. But if it we're speed vs. quality I'd pick quality every time.
I had a very enjoyable time here and the staff are very...
