Culinary Excellence and Impeccable Service: As an avid enthusiast of fine dining experiences, We recently had the pleasure of dining at Dory & Du, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary journey from start to finish. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the elegant setting and inviting atmosphere. The cosy lighting and tasteful décor set the scene for what was to be an extraordinary dining experience. Only one small point: the tables move easily, but I think it's an easy fix. Now, let's talk about the food. Every dish that graced our table was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. Each ingredient was fresh and meticulously sourced, showcasing the chef's dedication to quality. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a symphony of taste that left me craving for more.

One particular standout was the Ceviche—an absolute triumph of culinary artistry. The delicate balance of citrus, spice, and freshness was nothing short of perfection. It was evident that great care went into crafting this dish, and the result was truly extraordinary. One of the best ever!

However, it's not just the food that impressed me; the service was equally commendable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was flawless. From recommending wine pairings to accommodating dietary preferences, they anticipated our every need with grace and professionalism.

Everything about this restaurant is wonderful. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and beautifully presented. The company t-shirts are from Nikin so one tree is planted for every t-shirt purchased. The best part is when our waitress asked me if I wanted to take home the half of my dinner that I couldn’t finish. I was shocked that a restaurant in Switzerland would ask me that. Food waste has a huge environmental impact yet taking home one's leftovers in Switzerland is a very rare option. I really appreciate the environmental consciousness that the owners of Dory and Du have. I highly recommend eating here. I did not think it was overly expensive at all. 3 people had dinner, dessert, water and 6 cocktail drinks...

Eine differenzierte, sachliche Bewertung schweint mir angebracht zu sein; Das Preisniveau lässt definitiv mehr erwarten, zumal ich mir dieses gewohnt bin. Jedoch erwarte ich in dieser Preisklasse eine entsprechende Leistung der Speisen, welche mich bitter enttäuscht haben. Beim Hauptgang „Roastbeef“ für 44.- liess eine Schale mit wassergezogenem und schlecht abgeschmecktem Fenchelsalat auf sich warten, das Roastbeef damit zugedeckt und im Wasser schwimmend präsentiert. Die Abfolge der Speisen bis zum Dessert wird geradezu hastig ohne genügend Pausen dazwischen serviert, obwohl wir zu zweit eine Flasche Wein im Begriff zu geniessen waren. Die Belegschaft sowie das Lokal und dessen Preisniveau scheint anspruchsvollen Gästen nicht gewachsen zu sein. In Ennetbaden auf einer Anhöhe mit ähnlichem Preisniveau ist man den Ansprüchen zahlender Klientel definitiv besser gewachsen. Das Personal ist nicht in der Lage konstruktive Kritik entgegenzunehmen und weicht aus, indem sie Passanten abweisen oder darauf hinweisen innert Kürze den Tisch für anderweitige Reservationen wieder zeitnah freigegeben zu müssen. Von einer Empfehlung sehe ich definitiv ab. Die überzähligen guten Bewertungen kann ich mir nur damit erklären, dass die Leute keine Ahnung mehr von Qualität und gutem Essen haben. Wie auch, in der heutigen „Convenience Food“ Welt. Immerhin war das Dessert im Gesamtverhältnis überdurchschnittlich. Oder hat die Küche an diesem Abend...
