I searched for Thai food with authentic taste to restore my appetite by checking photos posted on Google Maps. If the food presentation is too perfect, you can assume that it could be a Thai fusion food or one with a taste for foreigners.
Siam Delicious's presentation is like street food in Thailand, which is why I came to visit, assuming the taste would be authentic Thai, and I wasn't disappointed.
If you're a Thai food guru, you don't need a menu because Khun Dao (owner) can cook to order even what wasn't on the menu!
The portion is quite large, and the taste reminds me of authentic Thai street food back in Bangkok. It's enough to bring me back here for the 2nd time for Som Tum Pla Ra (papaya salad with fermented fish), which is rare to find outside Thailand.

Read moreMost authentic Thai food in Basel. What I love most about this place is that they are very happy to accommodate any special requests I sometimes have, be it variations of the dishes on offer or even dishes that are not on the menu. Fair prices, too. If you are into Thai cuisine, give it a try!

It tasted metallic and was not drinkable. That said, we were charged regardless. The exchange of CHF to dollars is $84 (sill high) but on your machine, it said $98. (Happy to post a copy of the receipt) I eat Thai food often and even in expensive places like Los Angeles the bill would’ve been half. As for the tap water, it involved in an argument. and we did get a small carafe of tap water. We had a lovely steak dinner last night which cost significantly less. Your food was fine. Portions were small, but adequate. Prices were exorbitant, even for...
