This is totally mediocre. I was hoping - and frankly expecting - better from a restaurant with such high reviews. I got the Summer Bowl. I ended up crunching through many watermelon seeds because I could NOT see them hidden amongst all the other ingredients. Nothing indicated arugula in the dish, yet it was half the base. All the ingredients were swimming in the sauce/dressing, so it was hard to enjoy the flavors of the individual items. My companion got the Classic Burger. It could have been much more enjoyable if the bun was not so hard. But, because of the hard bun, everything inside of it oozed out when he took a bite and had to bite hard to get through the bun. It ended up being quite a messy, annoying dish. Further, the plate it's served on is a metal pan which has zero grip on the tabletop. As he tried to cut the burger, the pan twisted, turned and slid around. We left feeling quite disappointed in our choice to eat here. This restaurant has potential. The ambiance is cheery and the staff were nice. But it was really expensive for...
Read moreWe were very excited to try this cafe as we are coffee lovers and brunch enthusiasts. Sadly the “enthusiasm” was not shared by our waitress. The only person she would smile to and talk to was her bubbly colleague. All I got was hand signal ordering me not to take my tray yet and sighs when she was adding things to our order on the till. And it was only 8:45 am… It’s sad to see that some of the previous comments from months ago have already been addressing this (as well as some other recurring things) and despite the owners response to look into it, nothing seems to be changing. Probably because it’s a seasonal place and there is not much around and having a recurring clientele is not the aim. Coffee was however good, decor nice, and the food well marked for dietary restrictions which is a big plus! We had the breakfast bagel that was good and a generous portion and the avo toast with extra egg that was.. ok but a good...
Read moreFlims is beautiful. This restaurant reminds me of a hip coffee bar that also serves food. There is a dining section with tables and chairs, along with children chairs available and another smaller section with swinging chairs to relax, read, drink coffee.
The hot food was really good. The portions are considerably larger than expected. The club sandwich can feed 1.5 - 2 people.
This hamburger was very good. The meat was cooked perfectly and the toppings were bursting with flavor. The fries were very nice and crispy.
The coffee is pretty good. They provided me a cup of milk when I asked for a Vanilla Latte but later corrected it with a proper Vanilla Latte which was...
