This place doesn’t even deserve 1star! AVOID!!!! After reading lots of positive 5star reviews I decided to come here with my partner for a nice meal. It took 20 minutes to travel to this restaurant however, we thought it was worth it because of the reviews. As we walked in we got seated next to the door the worst seat out of the whole restaurant! The table was so dirty and staff refused to clean it due to being too “busy”. Even though it was busy there was other tables we asked for and was rudely told no by the owner! We decided to stay as the food looked good from what we could see. 25 minutes it took for a member of staff to come over after we had tried speaking to them multiple times for a menu. We asked kindly if we could see a menu and we were told we would have to wait until ONE became available as the shop was busy and others before us had just got the menu, we were next to look at the menu and to be served. Again we thought it was worth it as we travelled far to come here HOWEVER, other people after us came in and got seated straight away where we asked to sit, got a menu given to them from a stack of menus near the kitchen as got served with drinks. As we were waiting staff would stare at us and talk whilst pointing to us, walk past us and ignore us and even when I smiled they just looked disgusted at us. I realised that this was only happening to us and we were the only English/Iranian in the restaurant. We patiently waited 40 minutes until someone came over and spoke to us so rude and racist as we questioned why we have not got a menu yet but others after us have already got served, ate their food, paid and left! Due to the disgusting racist behaviour of the staff and the extremely long wait time we decided to leave and spend another 20 minutes travelling to another restaurant! Altogether we wasted 80 minutes for awful customer service. Even though the food looks good the staff are disgusting and the shop is ridiculously dirty with flies everywhere and no clean tables. Staff were also unhygienic which was offputting! As we were leaving a member of staff quickly grabbed 2 menus to give to us and we told them that we were treated so bad and would not wait any longer food for this abuse, she then decided to try and argue with us and be rude but we politely left as it wasn’t worth our time and we were so hungry. I would 100% avoid especially if not Swiss or French!!!! Racist Disgusting staff should be ashamed...

It's a cozy, neighborhood cafe/restaurant. It's definitely frequented mainly by locals and they're not the best with service to tourists/foreigners. The service is quite slow as is expected during peak dinner times. The wait was over 40 mins for the meal, but everything came out simultaneously. I had to ask to be shown to a table and then I had to ask for a menu. Don't expect to be waited on as a tourist/foreigner, you may have to ask for every step of service. If you speak French, you may have a better service outcome. However, the food made up for where the service lacked. The food was simply delicious and given in abundant portion. I ordered the grilled salmon with frites and a salad. It was enough for two people to share and it was only 23 CHF with a huge bargain for Geneva! I will...

Excellent small affordable authentic restaurant.

We walked in at 11:15am - 45 minutes before the kitchen opened. When the cook(owner?) found out we're late to our flight, he said he would cook an entree just for us, and took our order despite the early time.

We ordered the excellent entrecot du cheval - a horsemeat steak, that turned out to rival most beefsteaks I've tried before. Been looking for horse all around Geneva and found it by accident on the way to the airport! This is the place to go if you've never had horse.

Friendly, accommodating staff, excellent food, very affordable prices (for Geneva), great cozy small establishment atmosphere, and central location, make this the favorite of the several restaurants I've visited in Geneva.

Highly...

A real tavern, one of the last in Geneva. Delicious food served in huge portions. For instance, CHF 26.- you get double the portion of beef tenderloin you get elsewhere, for half the price, and with no compromise on quality. You also do not get the pettiness of those other places that will charge you extra for the sauces or the fries. The cordon-bleu and the cordon-rouge are comically huge but they are absolutely delicious. Don't expect fancy decorations and indirect lighting, this is a place where you come to eat well and have a good time.
