Unfortunately, we were really disappointed by Na Village.
After seeing the positive reviews, we chose to make a reservation here to end our week-long holiday in Geneva, thinking that it would a spectacular option as our last meal.
We opted for the sharing menu for two people minimum, allowing for us to try several of the menu options at once rather than opting for a larger portion of just one starter and one main.
When the starter came out, it was very well presented but tasted quite average. The spring rolls were okay but nothing special, the tempura prawns tasted identical to every other tempura prawn I've ever tasted and so on and so forth. There was nothing wrong with any of these starters but, for almost 100 Swiss Francs per person, we were expecting a lot more in terms of flavour, as we can eat the same quality of food for 20 each at our local restaurant. The starter came out on a bed of deep-fried vermicelli, which was tasteless, so we didn't really eat it or understand why it was there in the first place.
The main course was what really irked me though as we were so excited to try the five different curries on offer, but only ended up being mildly impressed by the first one. The first curry was lamb-based with potatoes, carrots and a sauce that tasted almost like a hotpot or stew. It was tasty and comforting.
The standard dropped drastically from there as the remaining four curries tasted identical and, as well as that, the quality of the meat was poor. I've tasted a lot of Thai food so this was a true disappointment as I know how varied the cuisine usually is, with a plethora of delicious and different curries. Na Village simply provided 4 versions of the exact same sauce, just with different meats and spice levels. And, to top it all off, they weren't even done very well.
We found ourselves trying to 'make it through' the meal so that we could leave as soon as possible, as we were getting zero enjoyment from eating the food, especially given the price.
Whilst the restaurant itself is pretty, I can't recommend Na Village if you're looking for a good culinary...
Read moreDisappointing and overpriced. For such an expensive restaurant, the experience was underwhelming. They use QR codes and iPads for menus, clearly to make it easier to change prices—and inconsistently at that. Our mains were 10 CHF higher on the bill than listed on the QR code menu. The staff dismissed this, showing us higher prices on an iPad menu we were never given when ordering. Non-transparent pricing is unacceptable at any restaurant, and even more so at one this expensive.
The food was just okay—overly salty, and having only fried appetizers on the fixed menu was very repetitive. They also didn’t provide fresh silverware between courses, even when asked, which is shocking for a place this fancy.
Even more surprising, they don’t have any original cocktails on the menu, which feels out of place for a restaurant of this caliber. The only redeeming quality is the ambiance; it’s beautifully decorated. But with the overcharging, mediocre food, a 0.5 CHF fee for takeaway containers, it’s just not worth it. I won’t be...

We had a lovely lunch at Na Village and were truly impressed by the depth of flavors and the beautiful presentation of the Thai dishes. It was a delightful discovery, with each plate bringing a taste of authentic Thai cuisine ; rich, aromatic, and wonderfully crafted.
The staff was very kind and welcoming, and the overall ambiance inside was warm and inviting. One point to note: the service was a little slow, which can be a challenge if you're on a tighter schedule during lunch hours. However, the friendly team made up for it with their attentiveness and hospitality.
The only downside was the outdoor area, which seemed a bit neglected when we visited in February. That said, we imagine the setting must be charming and much more enjoyable during the spring or summer months.
Overall, Na Village is a good spot for flavorful Thai...
