Ming wah — Restaurant in Geneva

I ate once here and it wasn't worth the price, yet I decided nothing so bad to leave a review.

I changed my mind due to an episode that showed the lack of politeness of the owner. I was walking on the sidewalk and I got showered by him watering his plants with the watering hose from the terrace. With a smile I told him to be careful, perhaps aim at the plants bottom and not horizontally head level, as it was splashing everybody passing on the sidewalk. I was expecting either an apology or an appreciation to make him aware of that. Instead he told me I shouldn't walk there. I then made him see that the water was splashing the whole sidewalk until the road, I couldn't walk anywhere, and I understand if it wasn't on purpose, It was more about making him aware of that. And he kept shutting me up saying it's not his fault and I shouldn't walk there and it's my fault.

This five star review is purely for the owner. My girlfriend and I were visiting Geneva and got to the city late. A lot of restaurants we checked were already closed (be warned, a lot of places here say they close around 10 or 11 but the kitchen always closes 45-60 minutes early. There are also places on yelp that straight up have the wrong hours). With that being said, the owner had every right to refuse us service but instead gave us the chance to order takeout even tho the kitchen was closing.

Food wise, my girlfriend and I got the Sichuan chicken and black bean fish and both dishes were fantastic. This might’ve been because we were starving, but even on a normal day, I would be more than happy to come here for...

Two of us tried a couple of lunch specials with optional starters (choice of five of each). Service was fast and friendly. Prices were standard for Geneva : $49 for two before tip (just two teas to drink). Food: the starters and one main course were marginal. Not good, but we were hungry.
