Le Safran in Geneva is a true treasure for lovers of traditional Indian cuisine. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a tantalizing aroma that sets the stage for an incredible culinary experience.
My taste buds have danced with joy thanks to their delicious offerings. Among my favorites are the creamy Butter Chicken, rich with cinnamon and aromatic spices; the Palak Paneer, where spinach meets traditional Indian paneer cheese infused with ginger and garlic; and the Chicken Tandoori, marinated for hours and cooked in a traditional Indian oven for over 24 hours.
The Chicken Biryani is a fragrant masterpiece of spiced rice and chicken, while the Chicken Korma seduces with its creamy blend of nuts and almonds. The Safrani Sabzi Korma showcases delightful vegetables in a luscious sauce also crafted with nuts and almonds. Be sure not to forget to order Naan or Cheese Naan and fragrant Basmati rice to accompany your meal.
For dessert, the Safrani Mango Cream is a must-try delight that leaves a sweet memory on your palate.
Service is generally top-notch, though during peak times, be prepared for a bit of a wait as they meticulously prepare your dishes. The ambiance is welcoming, and during the summer, you can enjoy your meal outside.
Here's a tip: check out The Fork for potential discounts - it's a treat that makes Le Safran even more delightful. And the best part? They're open on Sundays too!...

It’s true the decor might not be the most fancy in Geneva, but we don’t go there for that, we go there because the food is excellent and the staff is friendly.
The butter chicken is deliciously scrumptious, the cheese and garlic naan pair absolutely well with the sauce. Me and my partner have also tried the chicken tikka masala and the baingan bharta, which are also very good.
Personally, it’s one of the restaurants in Geneva that are a true comfort and we...
Read moreNice atmosphere and service. Menu has a lot of options but it can get quite expensive. Most of the dishes are CHF25-30, and then you have to add rice or naans CHF5-10. A good option is the lunch menu: less expensive and you get to taste a few different things.
I was hoping for more Thali-style options. I think they have something like that but it was over CHF40 so I didn’t pay attention.
Overall, good experience, but I’ve experienced better flavors in other Indian restaurants (I can only speak to the...
