Le Comptoir Canaille — Restaurant in Geneva

The food was good but nothing exceptional, extremely pricey even for Geneva and considering that the spot isn’t very convenient. we had a reservation with the fork meaning we had 50% off the menu. However during dinner the waitress came and forced us to order something to drink because “you already have 50% off you can’t only drink water” in an extremely rude way. We hadn’t finished our food and they were so desperate for us to finish that they came to take away our plates before we even finished. Overall food was good but expensive but the staff was terrible and arrogant and just for this I would not recommend this restaurant. My wife and I enjoyed an evening at Le Comptoir Canaille while passing thru Geneva. This is a very good, “local” restaurant working hard to provide a good product and experience for their customers. We very much enjoyed our first experience and would recommend. Trying to stay “light” I had grilled sea bass. The fish was very good and cooked perfectly. We wanted to have authentic French cuisine before we left Geneva without breaking the bank. We came there just after 7pm with a reservation and was sat in the back with a few adorable tables. The waiter and the host (most likely owner) were so friendly and welcoming. The menu was all in French so luckily my Google translate app helped us figure out what we wanted. We stayed for about 2.5 hrs and spent 100 CHF for 2 glasses of wine, still water, 2 main courses and 2 desserts. 100% would recommend to anyone wanting to experience a wholesome...
