Sadara — Restaurant in Geneva

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the bar & café Sadara in Lancy, Geneva, Switzerland.

A lovely spot inside Parc de la Bâtie where you can enjoy drinks and light snacks while taking in the surroundings. The park itself is beautiful, leading down to the junction of the Rhône and Arve rivers, with plenty of activities including a large playground for children and even a small animal park higher up.

The drink selection here is surprisingly varied – from ginger juice (which I tried and found excellent) to good cappuccinos, local sodas, coconut water, and more. Service is very friendly, and you can sit at the tables provided to relax and enjoy the view.

When I visited, I was lucky enough to catch a traveling art biennale set up in the park, which added a magical atmosphere to the experience.

What a spot! This park has been missing something for years and I couldn’t quite put my finger on it… Sadara is just that. Affordable prices, yummy chips, amazing coffee from Goodlife Coffee, and I heard from the friendly team that they’ll soon be serving Domaine Les Perrières wines! Lieux très sympa au milieu du bois de la batie, mais bar malheureusement géré par un staff peux serviable, malpoli surtout lors de la fermeture, qui se faut beaucoup trop tôt pour le potentiel de l'endroit (21h30/22h). Pas beaucoup de variété de boissons et pas d'alcool fort, plats trop chère pour la qualité et la diversité qu'ils contiennent, par ex leur plateau de fromage est en fait cinq fines tranches d'un gruyère mi-salé de la coop avec une feuille pour décoré et ce à un pris abusif. Vraiment très dommage car ce lieux à énormément de potentiel mais encore une fois dirigé par une équipe qui peux pour ma part que se féliciter d'avoir le lieu. Je ne déplore pas tout les employé mais surtout les chefs qui ont des manque de professionalisme. Lieu pas...
