Just ordered a cappuccino. Immediately after, I asked if I could “pay with my card”. The guy behind the counter said no, then I said sorry. “No plastic” he said. I said sorry again. After that he looked super annoyed and demonstratively threw the coffee away.
I respect that you have a vision and perhaps even a philosophy with no accepting cards. That said, when that’s not clear to me as a customer before I order something, AND the person behind the counter doesn’t tell me BEFORE he starts making the coffee… you can expect that this could go wrong, no?
When things go wrong, getting annoyed with the customer is not exactly a good example of customer service.
I’ll give two stars because the place looks nice, and there was a solid coffee machine. Besides that, BRING CASH or you might become an “annoying customer”

You should be fired, and if you’re the owner, then take some communication courses. Not happy with the service and don’t recommend to anyone! And read the way he replies to other people’s reviews. VERY unprofessional.
Update: the owner commented on my review, accusing me of using his coffee shop as a waiting hall, but we came in for less than a minute. We immediately noticed his rude demeanor, and left as quickly as we could. The least he could do is get his story straight. On his website he says “In addition to our fresh specialties, we offer you a cozy atmosphere with a view of Lake Lucerne that invites you to linger.”...

The owner declared cash only and then proceeded lecture me for about 5 minutes about how "people like me" don't understand small businesses and how to manage money. He said this while mocking my clearance Calvin Klein coat and outlet mall wallet. He didn't even let me get a word in the whole time.
I highly recommend going to small businesses that actually treat their customers with normal human courtesy and decency...SO NOT HERE. Will never come back or recommend to people.
Edit: I recommend looking at the rude and defensive replies to bad reviews the owner posts as a reference to the customer service...
